‘Far out in the uncharted backwaters of the unfashionable end of the western spiral arm of the Galaxy lies a small unregarded yellow sun. Orbiting this at a distance of roughly ninety-two million miles is an utterly insignificant little blue green planet whose ape-descended life forms are so amazingly primitive that they still think digital watches are a pretty neat idea’

The stopped driver could well be, was on double yellows and couldn't see any obvious loading or unloading going on so who knows. Should point out that the other van driver was already moving around the stopped van before we had entered the road, so unless they're expected to just wait until the way is completely clear I can't find them at any fault I don't think. They did actually stop in the middle of pulling around when they saw that the cyclist was going to take the thin way through, then continued when I waved them through whilst stopped.

The Ellis Brigham/Snowboard Asylum in Covent Garden look to always have a good range of Ski Boots in that you can try on and I've always found the staff in the Snowboard Asylum section to be great so imagine it's the same for the Ski stuff in Ellis. I think best possibly to go on a Sunday, gets really busy on weekday lunch times as obviously that's when people are going in for their boot fitting/moulding on their lunch breaks and anytime I've popped in on Saturday it's still quite busy too but Sunday has always been quieter when I'm there. The Snow + Rock in Covent Garden never seems to have as much range and is often much higher end to my untrained eye.

Am I right in thinking this person was a bit of a dick? Riding on Bream's Buildings behind someone, there's a van parked up pointing towards us on the right side of the road and then a van in the process of moving around it also towards us. I didn't fancy squeezing through the decreasing gap so stopped to wait for the van to get through but the person in front went through without slowing. Got through the thin gap and then clipped the backpack of someone who was crossing behind the moving van from right to left. They then started mouthing off at the pedestrian that they should look where they are going and whatever else for a bit whilst cycling off. Excellent drawing below which will place you all in the scene perfectly

Cheers, ended up taking a punt and getting the same at Cycle Surgery for £49 that I'll be picking up at lunch so glad to hear that it comes recommended. Got a Meteor X Auto Pro for £19.99 too as a better backup to my current one so worst case if they don't charge and run, will just pack both for night rides and make do with that.

Had a bloke almost hit me from behind this morning in the connecting tunnel from the Victoria line to the Piccadily line in King's Cross as he glided along on his e-scooter.
