Looking into it and found Crystal Ski are saying a number of Austrian resorts are to close early and the Mayrhofen Facebook page has this message too

Just posted this on the snowboarding thread too. Hearing from locals and bar staff they they’re closing Mayrhofen mountains on Sunday/Monday now. After looking it up seen that crystal ski have listed a number of resorts that are reportedly closing early

Yep I believe so. Hasn’t actually been widely mentioned/reported around the resort. First we knew of it was when I happened to check on Facebook about the event we were planning to go to tonight and saw it was cancelled (as mentioned in the covid-19 thread). Then going to different bars the security have just said we can’t go in because of ‘corona’ so moved on to the next place. Queues outside a lot of places too with one in one out

All bars in Mayrhofen are only allowing a max of 100 people in now from what we’ve found when wandering around

Was extremely excited to have the opportunity to see Lorenz Büffel perform ‘Jonny Däpp‘ this evening in Mayrhofen and Covid-19 has gone and ruined it.

Good time in Mayrhofen so far this week. Though definitely my least favourite Austrian resort I’ve been to. Also suffered a re-occurrence of a lower back issue that I’ve had before. Think it’s Sacroiliac Joint issue possibly. Sat out yesterday and pretty much stretched out, sat in a hot bath and sauna all day to try to sort it and was more than comfortable today so that means park tomorrow finally. Sure I’ll regret this for the Gently Bentley Audax on Sunday after I get back. Need to look at how to prevent it in future. Possibly back and core exercises?

Landed into a grim, rainy Salzburg and hoping it clears up on the way through to Mayrhofen

Ended up in the brewhouse because it was next to the bus stop that I couldn’t be bothered standing at in the rain whilst the 30 took everyone who’d been in the train. Letting it all blow over then I’ll have a leisurely bus ride back

I initially started typing that as an annoyed complaint. Then realised it could be worse.

Didn’t cycle today for reasons. Overground pantograph started arcing on the train I got on at Highbury and Islington and so now sat in a nearby pub reading and drinking. Also likely to be my Covid moment
