I’ve only been a couple of times since covid myself, and one was for an in store so not sure what the selection is. A shame if it’s shifted as I recall there being a good amount of new stuff around.

First went to RSD in 2013. Went to Reflex, RPM and Beatdown in Newcastle and picked this selection up. Have been to some since but not really got anything. Was thinking of going this year to try and get the Team Sleep record but didn’t bother in the end. My dad prints off the list every year and highlights his targets. I think it worked there, he’s got a big record collection from growing up then quickly moved to CD and quickly onto download when they both came about. He didn’t have an interest in records again until I started showing him what I was getting when I’d gone to university and RSD introduced him to his local record store which he was a big fan of (unfortunately now closed due to the passing of the owner). He often tells me of the stuff he’s ordered from Banquet so I plan to take him there next time he’s down in London like a pilgrimage.

Rough Trade (in London East more so than West) has a pretty hefty stock of stuff. My dad heads there every time he's down to see me to pick up some random thing that he's after. Flashback is pretty good for second hand I think too.

I thought the Bench thing just had an air of snobbishness that fits the general tone of the golf club theme. Doesn’t matter if the activity is golf club, it’s the tone that kind of fits. The most joy on this thread mainly from twisting stuff completely out of context for a laugh anyway I reckon. That’s probably in itself a golfist stance.

Would also assume (based on the one automatic car I've driven) that a lot of automatics do that drop a gear to boost acceleration thing so possibly if someone mashed the accelerator the car would think it's another motorway overtaking case and possibly apply more acceleration when it's not wanted?
