Don't think this has been shared in this thread. A brief yet interesting article about the helicopter crews with some great pictures of helicopters backdropped by the peloton/mountains

I don't understand the Toyota Aygo advert with the bloke getting a text from his football mate and his partner who's cooked a meal. Are they in a group chat in which his partner and his best mate just crack on with each other and compete for time with the buff aygo driver? Or do they always just send message after message incessantly to mr aygo in their individual message chains with shorter and shorter content until he pulls over his car and replies to them?

This was something that I did note, the noise of some of the bikes definitely made me think that a car was about to smack me with their wingmirror but it was just a club train buzzing past me rather close instead.
An extra takeaway, given I've only ever really done long solo rides, a 100km 'audax', and inner city things like cobblemonster and Fixed Beers rides, the Dynamo has definitely confirmed my decision to not want to join a traditional cycling club. -

Must be a big case on at the Royal Courts Of Justice today? Big police presence of about 10 vans parked up out the back on Carey street making it an absolute nightmare to travel through with the construction vehicles that are going around there at the moment for the numerous building projects on Carey Street, Portugal Street and Lincoln's Inn Fields blocking things up completely

Had a great time on my first Dynamo. Got an early start as had no idea what to expect and heeded @Oliver Schick’s advice to not go with a GPS route and follow the leader. Saw a good sized bunch leave at 7:30 and stuck to them out of London. Very glad to have made the reservation for food at the cyclist for a little peace of mind, again, since not knowing what to expect for stop options, but might go for a different option next year to mix it up. Had a slight worry at this halfway mark that pain was setting in and it would be a horrible second half but after I wolfed the food down at the cyclist I entered a state of zen with my body becoming one with the bike and have never felt better riding (shit fixie skidders say>>>>) Ended up with quite a few of the road crews on the back end, I’d have to mash my way up the inclines as fast as I could to maintain my momentum and they’d then pass me again on the descents. Got to Dunwich a slight before 4:30am and had a little sit and wander round before a pint then the coach. 9.5/10 a half a point is dropped for the constant sound of freewheels

Myself - left hooked on Coldharbour Lane eastbound by a driver turning on to Lilford Road. Not really sure where they went past me but usually ride quite central along the road so imagine it was after the pinch point and then turned straight across me. Came to a slow enough that I was able to just slide onto the boot luckily so no damage to me aside from a scratch on my leg.
To my luck there was a police van behind with about 7 officers in who stopped and got out to check everything was ok. The officers discussed it with the driver asking how she couldn't have seen me where she admitted she did and then they asked why she turned then to which she couldn't really answer and they mentioned several times the recent accidents that have had much worse results. Rode on my way after that as couldn't be fussed to go any further with it and was happy after the 5 minutes or so of conversation and checking myself and bike with police that everything was ok.

Company called tanks-a-lot I think. Looking at the price for this experience I’d rather not personally. They also offer a hearse which looks grim and a ‘safari gun bus’ that seats ‘up to 12 guns’ for your shooting party. They have plenty of tracked vehicles for sale if you’re interested or if that’s not for you possibly go for Margaret Thatcher’s armoured bus
