I did some riding in the lakes last september, and there quite a bit of military aircraft kicking around over there. We got to the top of the struggle. Which is a fairly hefty climb and was a really hot day. Sat down at the top to wait for the rest of the group and a giant scary looking helicopter appeared over the hill. Really low and impressively quiet as people have said. I thought i was hallucinating hah. Wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of one of them at all. There was a bunch of people around as there is a pub at the top of the climb, and the pilot waved at us through the window.

I have a deore xt caliper and lever. Currently not bled/attached to each other but can dig out some hose and bleed them to whatever length you want if youre keen.

Yeah there is some useful stuff often. Also can be good place to ask if looking for a tube/part that ceeway is out of stock on. But theres just so much bollocks it can be hard to filter out .

He posts a fair bit in the Framebuilders group on Facebook and...well let’s just say, he loves the smell of his own shite.

I actually met the guy who does those, Age Mackenzie as he was there when i did my TBA course. He was nice enough, but eccentric as you'd expect. To be honest i really don't see the appeal of his frames at all. But they look painful to fabricate so ill give him that.

awesome, I havent really done that much with machines like that, but a mate had something similar with a reeves drive. was a right pain. I think he ended up gutting it and getting a vfd + new motor.
