Nasty out here too, be careful. Both feet out of the clips, uphills with near enough no traction so riding in the muddy edges. Road replace with a temporary skating rink in the last half mile was nerve racking.

I've a length of 1" chromed metal tube in the shed (like shower rail stuff.) Was going to cut it quarter-wise, spread the cut ends a bit and try and make a DIY tool - am I living in a world of delusion?
Should I just take it to a shop?

I baked a birthday cake today. Massive fail - didn't use greaseproof paper so it's stuck in the tin. Looks like we'll be having a kind of iced-eton-mess-lemon-cake with candles on.
However it is vegan, and it did cook properly, so a bitter-sweet victory-of-sorts.

Grrr, can't believe I've lost another one. Ruddy things. Anyone have a spare?
