Ticking along here, might be ready by the weekend...
One question thought - have the original Simplex (Vallee series) f&r mechs and dt shifters in good nick, was going to refit them but they were all hooked up for six-speed.
The rear hub is an eight-speed Shimano (600 series) which I've got a block for, plus Tiagra mechs but no dt's.
What would play nicely with my lovely Stronglight chain-set?

cheers Skülly - the vittoria's look just perfect. Like the price as well. It's all roads, but with the usual Oxfordshire caveat of a 'road' being not quite a farm track and I am already very* slow.

They went through a phase of signing some of the worse as 'Failed road' by way of warning you that a. things are going to get off-road-style in a minute and b. not likely to be fixed anytime soon. Think there was a bit of tax-payer 'feedback' and it stopped (the signage that is.)
