As a coda to this interesting little thread, I only use 3/32" parts. I like to think that modern road chains have had more development, and are certainly more laterally flexible, than the traditional 1/8" chain used by trackies. FWIW, they are also lighter. 'YMMV'!

A year or more on 25 mm Hutch All Seasons and all is well. They also go on the Shimano rims with no fuss at all, always worth taking in to account. Note they come up pretty narrow.

Phew that's even tighter than the 28 mm IRD tyre (on Kinlin XR31T) that I squished into my Tom Board. I had to get new 105 R7000 brakes to accommodate the width of that rim — two fronts, so as to have a long pivot bolt for the nut-fit rear. I was putting the tools away when I realised I had not reversed the brake shoes on the rear!

Praxis are keen to point out that their rings must only be used in pairs. But then... they would say that, wouldn't they? They also say they are the only mnfctr than Shimano to drop-forge their rings. So they last well, even if opinions vary on shift quality.

Certainly not 'brkls'. A pair of R7000s is fitted. As for the Dale, first thing I did was to remove the FSA rings — cranks are now SiSL with 10-spoke SpideRing, hence the hellish cost to replace. I do have a 50/36 Praxis Works pair on an Si crankset but they are a bit ho-hum.

Standard legs on 48 x 17. Nothing like 'back in the day' when one would do 'traffic jamming' on 49 x 15. Also, no 'pizza rack', indeed no bottle cage bosses either, so venturing beyond inner London districts a no-no

Ah thanks. I did look at the Shimano tech site and found it to be so. North of £200 for a new Cannondale compact ring pair though, seems an awful lot.
