Nicest way to get to Corsica in my experience is to take the direct Eurostar from St Pancras to Marseille-St. Charles, walk down to the harbour and take the overnight ferry to Bastia. I don't know if this works with bikes.
For such a short tour you might be better off to fly to Ajaccio and ride east from there. Generally Corse-du-Sud has better cycle touring routes than Haute-Corse, which is pretty rugged with long, narrow and heavily-trafficked ascents into the interior.

The graffing style in my pic ('Billy the Kid...') is identical to that shown in the book. Careful comparison of the location shots then and now (look at the stucco panels) makes me as good as certain it's at the east side of Shrewsbury Road W2, opposite the school. (In fact the side wall of the last house in St Stephen's Gardens.) If you approach from Westbourne Park Road, it's just beyond the pub shown below:

Why are you so interested in the exact location of the telecomms cabinet mate? And why no 'proper' LFGSS handle? Seems odd. You are obviously not a troll!
My visit today was entirely serendipitous. Was riding back from an excursion down to Staines along the Thames, profiting by the exceptional weather. My route from home (Kilburn) routinely takes me past that spot in Westbourne Park (where I used to live). I would be a richer man by far had I had not sold my house there.
And yes, fortunately my legs are still fully operational.

This is quite some time wormhole in time you've sent me down! My pic is defo not Faraday Road — that's up the other end of Portobello Road. It was definitely south of Westbourne Park Road, in Westminster not Ken & Chelsea. I took a bunch of other pictures that evening which might help contextualize it. Finding those pix would likely give a date. That bike was stolen from outside the Garrick Club in 1989, so that must backstop it. But it must have been earlier, probably around 1980.
Cedric Clayson was a Leicester-based frame builder. For some reason it sticks in my mind that the frame was built to celebrate the Worlds track competition held at the velodrome there in 1970. (It had world championship bands, but was a road/path model because mudguard eyes.) I bought it for 50p in Portobello, rather rusty, and had it painted pink. I built it with Airlite hubs on Fiamme sprints with an Idéale leather saddle as shown in the pic.
I liked that bike a lot and was upset by its theft. Happily I had taken the measurements and had Tom Board, who had a workshop nearby, beneath Bicycle Workshop in All Saints Road, build me an exact replica in Reynolds 708 tubing, with Cinelli lugs and Columbus track fork blades. The shop proprietor, Ninon, urged me to go for a metallic pink finish. I still have that bike, still on fixed, and very fine it is too. It even still sports the same red Impero framefit pump. Bike for life? You bet!

Gas safe guy, yes. But also, if you have not had an electric cooker before, pay attention! You can't just plug it in to the mains. It's likely to need a high-capacity dedicated spur direct from the consumer unit — usually 40A. Read the manual!
In my case this meant a new consumer unit (because all the slots were taken by other circuits) and a new armoured cable round the outside of the house (because we weren't about to rip up all the newly-laid flooring).
Seriously — don't just plug it in to the ring main, which is rated only to 13A.

So I gave the non-driveside crank of this set to a mate (because he shagged the pedal thread on his). He fitted it and uses it. I can hardly ask for it back can I? Shows you should keep a hold of your good spares doesn't it?
Thus the request: LH (non-drive) square-taper crank sought, must be 170 mm, to fit standard 102 mm axle (so must be Campag Record or Chorus, or copy). Condition not important as long as the pedal thread and taper are good.
DA cassette fitted to 'Dale and works perfick, thanks!
