But of a random one... just got an excellent deal on 2nd hand Exposure Revo/Redeye in classifieds, I don’t actually have the Dynamo to go with but it’s coming when I can afford. Also anticipating I’ll need cables - seems daft to buy ready made ones when a roll of twin core 0.5mm cable costs a fiver and 2-pole DC plugs cost buttons.
What I need to try and find out is the spec of the right angle DC connector on the back of the Revo (presumably the same one across all exposure lights) - anyone got one they can measure fairly accurately? Length and width? Or happen to know spec?

In a Bizarre turn of events some guys from a local club are doing a 4 day trip to Amsterdam and back next week and one of the guys pulled out, so looks like I'm going to Holland. Nothing too serious, Monday Norfolk>Harwich, overnight ferry, Tuesday hook >Amsterdam, Tuesday night in Amsterdam B&B, Wednesday back to ferry, overnight ferry, Thursday ride back to Norfolk. About 300 miles total I think.
So I took @TM's advice and bought the restrap saddle bag and frame bag, the value is pretty good with the discount code and I couldn't find a bad word about it anywhere. I even phoned them and asked if I could get it by Friday and they said they'd put a rush on it for me! Fingers crossed. (Thanks again @r_mash for the discount code)
I've never actually done any 'proper' touring before really, only overnighters, anything I should definitely take/not take? It's probably not a bad first foray as it's pretty civilised with the distances and a proper bed each night!

Doing a week of road touring this summer, mostly - if not all - camping, panniers would be my last resort, hoping to get some bags and strap everything to the bike, just wondering what people’s reccomendations are for various bags? Preferably on a budget but equally I don’t mind paying for quality if it’ll last.
My current plan is;
-saddle pack for clothes
-‘anything’ type cages strapped to forks one for hammock/tent, one for sleeping bag
-partial frame bag for misc bits/extras
-downtube mounted bottle cage for bottle tool kit
-tt back for Charing/phone etc.
-possibly a stem cell or two for food/extras?I use narrow bars and ride small frames so my out front clearance for a hardlebar pack is limited, firstly does that sound like a sensible luggage list? And second what are good saddle packs, frame bags, tt bags? There seems to be a lot of choice these days!
Cheers!

£300 SRAM Force CX 1 hydro shifters & post mount callipers (UK wired, hoses f:80cm,r:156cm); came from a friends CX bike, done roughly 500 miles, was going to upgrade my disc bike but by BB7s work fine and I need the money.Removed
£70 SRAM Force CX1 Rear Mech, as above, some light marksSOLD
£32 SRAM Apex Chainset, 165mm, 130bcd, 53/39 - VGC, paint barely worn off ringsSOLD
£17 J&L eBay special 42T narrow wide 130bcd chainring for use with above cranks.£100>£90 SRAM Red 10sp brifters, with new cable inners, usual scuffs, bought as brake levers for ss that never happened
SOLD
£100 SRAM Omnium, 165mm, some light marks and very light heel rub on NDS crank but very faint, w/ usable GXP bb.£37 > £34 Northwave Arctic MTB shoes, UK43, my feet don't get on unfortunately, I've put up with it for the warmth they provide, which is ample. No insoles, I'll leave cleats on. One of the high vis tabs is missing from the lacing system - I've simply tied a knot at the very top of the lace and it functions no differently from before (see pics). I'll try and put them through the wash before sending them!
£37 > £34 Bont Vaypor XC, UK 42.5, too stiff for me, would make great CX race shoes. One of the ratchets won't fasten all the way down but it's always been plenty tight enough for me, could probably be easily replaced - comes with bag & bont insoles.
SOLD
£25 Fizik Antares R5, scuffed round the edges, bought to test shape, comes with fizik saddle bag.£50 Lazer Z1, white, small, with GB aeroshell, in Lazer bag, good condition, usual odd mark here and there - bags a bit dusty from storage but I'll give it a wash. Nice helmet that I wanted to love but it doesn't love my head back.
£23 Planet X winter bib tights, nice warm roubaix fabric, pad is ok - not amazing, good for 3hr blasts during winter - or the current spring! - though.

Looking for a lightweight bag for bikepacking, ideally 1-5c comfort rating and under 1kg if anyone's selling anything?
Alternatively does anyone have any good reccomendations for other forums that might be a good place to pick one up second hand? I'm thinking hiking/camping type forums with classifieds?

Spent too long trying to decide like a plonker didn't I and someone else bought the last one they had in stock, doh! :( Saved myself some money this month I suppose...
(Oh and massive thanks to frankenbike - gave me his code - but it didn't work, said it didn't apply to me so I guess maybe they go wise to it)

Should have just googled it first; https://www.britishcycling.org.uk/chainreaction
It is a code it seems, one per month. Anyone want to take pity on me?
I really hope not, or if it is you're going to buy it because I can't afford it but if I have to see it going so cheap another time I'm going to have to buy it anyway...
