Whilst all the cool kids are getting pebble dash removed, I'm having a small bit of the back wall and the adjacent wall pebble dashed. We're soon to do the kitchen and I'd like to change the kitchen waste pipe out at the same time with something nice to avoid having to go through the dashing. Is there such thing as cast iron waste pipe? Most cast iron pipes I can find seem to be soil stack etc. How was it done "back in the day?"

All the wallpaper is now off as is the radiator in the upper hallway. Discovered a bonus disused single socket behind the radiator that had been wallpapered over 😊Seems like a safe combo. I forgot that Gira switches need a deeper back box so some chasing took place.
As is always customary when the paper comes off, I discovered a small amount of moisture at the very top so the roofers will come and put some lead flashing where there isn't any.
Roll on the plasterer tomorrow. I'll be very happy the day I strip the last bit of paper from this house! Such an absolute house of bodges. -

Back on the Wallpaper stripper again today.
Our plasterer does traditional lime stuff and with the weather turning cold again next week, can finally slot us in. Getting the first floor of the hallway up to the loft done. I absolutely hate stripping wallpaper but stripping to a tight deadline is next level shit. -

This is such an epic tune. Rootsman confirms it'll never be re-released on vinyl unfortunately.

I don't know if mine are "giant" but got some Oriental poppies in Autumn from a mate that I've recently potted on. Seem difficult to kill so far 😂 It's my fist time trying them. Do let us know how you get on.
