Brewing a traditional Bitter today using local Target and Phoenix hops.
Never thought I would do a 'boring' beer before, but I spent a week in Devon recently and tried a fair bit of local beer and realised how good it was .
It was actually quite refreshing to get away from the extreme hop/bitterness stuff for a while !

I bought this off the forum a couple of years ago . Can't remember who from (sorry!) Very reasonably priced and is an absolute joy to ride. Quick and comfortable it turns heads whenever I ride it ! I don't know anything about it's history yet, it's 23c but don't find that a problem!

I built a deck overhanging a pond about ten years ago. I used recycled plastic fence posts set in concrete and one actually in the water to support the planks.
They can be drilled and screwed into like timber and are maintenance free !
Similar to this picture, if you Google recycled fence posts there's loads of options.

Had a fridge problem so haven't kegged yet , spare fridge isn't big enough, so if I can't get it sorted I'll have to bottle it all 🤦‍♂️

I usually transfer through a hop spider into a bottling bucket, so I'll let it settle in the bucket then transfer to the keg.
Once the keg is full I'll purge the O2 then leave it on gas in the fridge for a week.

I haven't got the bits for that , was going to fill and then purge the O2 after. It will go straight in the fridge after.

Going to finally keg a beer on the weekend after 4 years of bottling ! It's a coffee stout around 7%.
Anyone got any tips ideas for a first time kegger ?
