I bought the wheels from a private seller, we had a bit of trouble with the delivery as at one point the courier said they had lost them, when they turned up a week or two later I was worried they might have been smashed to bits! But they are pretty much unmarked- a testament to the sellers packaging skills. Here's the link:-

Only if there is a category slow and oldish dudes who spend more time tinkering than riding up hill! I think I'll just use it to attempt to get my Strava times back to where they were a few years ago.
My re-cycling enthusiast nephew happened to work on the same industrial estate as a certain bike importer.
-
Believe the original damage was the small (yet to be repaired) crack in the down tube, probably caused by a work stand clamp or similar. I guess the frame was returned to the importer under warranty, who then replaced it and binned this one after hacksawing through the chainstay to prevent it be re-used.
It was given to me by an eagle-eyed skip diving nephew who that i might be able to do something with it.

Although I haven't quite finished the last project - Panasonic PR4000 Campagnolo Chorus 8 Spd. https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/319587/ I've started the next.
- Argon 18 Gallium frame- Acquired for nothing in damaged condition.
- Cheapish (£300) 1200g (Chinese?) carbon wheelset from ebay.
- Cannondale SuperSix fork- ebay.
- 10spd Ultegra Di2, internal battery, Climbing buttons shifters only and Alfine display as fwd junction box.
- Tektro R741 brakeset.
Here's where I am today, I'll post some older (pre repair) pictures of the frame next update.
Still to do:-
- Crankset, remove BB86 bearings and install- Campag. Ultra Torque cups. http://www.wiggle.co.uk/campagnolo-ultra-torque-bb86-bottom-bracket-cups/?utm_source=order-processed-sg01-gb&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=orders&utm_content=product
- Second composite repair to frame down tube.
- Fit Di2 wiring and controls, possible "integrate" climbing buttons and display into carbon base bars.
- Mount tubular tyres.
- Argon 18 Gallium frame- Acquired for nothing in damaged condition.
-
Really looking forward to seeing this come together. I love a climbing bike. Definitely my next build. I've got an Argon 18 Gallium frame, Cannondale Supersix fork and some very light Chinese carbon tubular wheels lined up, but funds are low for the rest of the components required... Watch this space.

Just looked Orlowski up on Ecosia, either rather nice Polish steel track frames, or an “exotic” actress with a rather large frontage! I think I will call this bike Teresa in her honour.

This colour scheme and graphics were applied before I got the frame, before @Tomo187 got it as well I think. Don’t know much about it.
I think the wording on the down tube means something like “let’s go” and I may have been told the significance of the head tube sticker, but I’ve forgotten if I was!
What do you know @Tychom ? -

Thank you for your very kind offer of a (braze on) FD @Tomo187 but I've got a Chorus number that i think will do the job nicely.
Not much progress since first post, but did spend a few hours removing the old mastik from my rims with acetone.
Excitingly and somewhat surprisingly though, I found that Decathlon sell Vittoria glue for just £2.99! Unfortunately they only had one tube.

Bought this handsome Panasonic frame from fellow Brighton Forumista @Tomo187 sometime ago. Finally getting round to building it up with mostly 1988-91 Chorus 8 speed groupset.
Frame. Panasonic PR5000, Matt black paint by original Teutonic owner.
Fork. Peugeot Aluminium straight blade 1" threaded- Ebay
Headset. Campag Record.
Bars and Stem. Modolo.
Brake levers. Modolo, white hoods, (probably stay like that for about a week in my grubby mitts)
Brakes. Chorus Monoplaner.
Wheels. Chorus Mavic GP4 Tubular (Gulp)
Crankset. You guessed it - Chorus, ebay. -
You are probable right, but the project was inspired by an article I saw in Cycling Weekly about someone called Lou Bates who won a few hill climbs on a bike her boyfriend put together for her. She had a Cervelo with Di2 1x10, I just thought it looked awesome.
I also liked the idea of a slick dependable gear change under load and early 10 speed e-wire Di2 is the cheapest way. Unless anyone has got some Campy EPS going cheap!
