4th RRtY ride yesterday, a DIY to Cambridge and back. Though it was pretty easy on paper (very flat, plenty of places to stop) it was the hardest 200 I've done yet. On the return leg it started snowing and coming back through the city just killed our speed. That said, the morning was pretty beautiful and we stopped at that cycling cafe in Saffron Walden which was lovely.
Been having issues with my hands and feet on my last two 200km rides. I did a few last year before starting my RRtY effort and had no issues, besides feeling a bit achey the next day, and November and December's efforts weren't too bad. Winter ones have also coincided with me swapping over my stem for a shorter one and also getting different bars (this was after some bastard nicked the stem, bars and shifters off my bike). I feel more comfy on my bike and can use the drops now, but over longer distances I get numb little fingers and also my left ankle kills the next day; can't work out if it's a winter issue (though I don't suffer with cold extremities) or bike fit because of a shorter stem and different bars (think they're a bit wider).
My next RRtY is a 300 so I guess I need to sort all this out :/

Will reply to the PMs I had now. Cheers.

Cleared out my parts box and have these going spare. All brand new, ever even been fitted to pedals so in lovely brand new condition.
Toe clips are steel, size M.
Straps are brown leather, not sure of brand.
Velcro toe straps are pretty nifty, black with an R on the tops and some reflective trim. Came off the pedals of a crap single speed I bought.
Pick up Catford or Moorgate. Can add pictures later if needed.

Can anyone recommend some not particularly thick gloves for winter riding with some padding? I normally use Defeet's Dura (the wool ones) for all winter riding, even when it hovers around zero, but on a 200km yesterday they absolutely killed my palms because of the lack of padding. Don't really suffer from cold hands at all so don't need any "deep winter" things.

Think I want to get a bit more geeky about my coffee using my V60 set up - kitchen has no space for any new machines or anything and I'm on a bit of a budget. What would improve my coffee experience? I have a crap electric grinder which I've never found to offer a decent consistent grind, I'm guessing that could be replaced? Scales? Pour over kettle?

Hi there.
Need to buy a new headset cos my one was stolen last week (along with bar, shifters, stem etc).
My bike:

What do I need? An integrated tapered (1 1/8 to 1 1/4) headset? SO CONFUSED.

Stolen from the corner of London Wall and Copthall Avenue at some point today; the handlebars, stem, headset, 105 levers (etc) of my B'Twin Ultra 700 AF:

Not expecting to be reunited with them, but there's a very distinctive Penge CC stem cap which has been taken; I assume these bits were stolen in an attempt to get me to leave the bike overnight - obviously I have taken it away.

Thanks!
An ECE to the start, and back, of the Man of Kent 200. Ridden the route down there so many times so it should be fine as long as I sort out my comfort issues on the bike.
@hippy - my boyfriend often comments that it looks like my arms are locked. I've picked up that bike fit book from the library so I'll have a look and make some adjustments. My money's definitely on the stem. Goddamn it.
