Those Honjos look nice, thanks!
Have also seen these 38mm VO ones which come in Black...
https://freshtripe.co.uk/velo-orange-700c-x-38mm-smooth-mudguards/
Need to check if they'll fit on my touring/commuting King of Mercia with 28c tyres, but I imagine they'd be very tight or impossible on a Steamroller if @HousecatHST had trouble with the 37mm PDW. -
Thanks for the replies. I really want to run 35c Panaracer Paselas so guess that is a no go.
Can't seem to find the 35mm hammered mudguards that you speak of @Aroogah. Would consider these for another bike with 28c tyres. -
Anyone fitted the Velo Orange 45mm (hammered) mudguards onto their Steamroller? I'm considering doing this but checking if they fit along with 35c tyres as advertised.

It's from Teesri Manzil... Yep, that's a 1966 R.D. Burman joint.
https://open.spotify.com/album/28pZBUZCuqVof7XSmthRCU?si=zARCju1TR-GjyRfysPBdaQNice collection of vinyls there. I've looked for old bollywood vinyl on my trips back but they're often used as decoration in bars/shops. Spotify is surprisingly good for that stuff tho.

Ooof! An Asha Bhosle 80s classic.
Here's a quintessential Asha gem with some Mohammed Rafi thrown in for good measure, from the 60s!!

@dubtap the pre-90s bollywood stuff really does it for me... 90s onwards, the music becomes more legit and genuinely awesome. Almost too nice and polished. But i do love me some A.R. Rahman.
Also, massive apologies to Bob Jackson fans for instigating the Mother of all thread derailments.

Good choice!

Video has some sweet Mithun dance moves. -
I had a Brook's B17 saddle stolen in Shoreditch within a year of purchase, but then I started covering my Swallow with either a plastic bag or a rain cover and no issues so far when parked (8-9 yrs).
But more importantly,.. Nice Bike @youClown!

Looks like a great machine, and a nice price too. I really liked the TR8 when I tried it out a long time ago. Seems the added sample capabilities would make this a total beast. Would snap it up if I still had spare time for music making these days but I reckon it would just gather dust like all my other gear.

Anyone compare the Pelago front rack with this BLB front rack ?https://www.bricklanebikes.co.uk/blb-t-rack-matt-black
They look pretty much identical but the BLB rack is quite a bit cheaper. Also, anyone use and prefer the Pelago Rasket over the racks? Haven't seen many people use the Rasket and just wondering if anyone has anything bad to say on their build vs the Pelego racks.
-
Very Nice.
I was looking to get a Pelago Rasket for my Steamroller and saw that it comes with multiple mounts, including one with a more curved end which seems like it would fit better with the fork and axle.
I've also got some of these Tubus clamps which are more heavy duty than standard P-clips: https://www.sjscycles.co.uk/carriers-racks/14mm-tubus-clamp-set-rack-eyes-for-seat-stay-mounting/ -

I was invited by Donald to re-order my Vigorelli on 25th Nov (after my previous order was cancelled) and received it on 11th Jan. Donald told me this was one of the last orders that went out and they had to cancel all others after, so I reckon even an early December order would'nt have made the cut-off.

Haha. Bappi, aka Indian Dan Aykroyd, aka Gosht Buster.
This was the jam when I was but a wee babber:

You might recognise it if you're a fan of MIA. -

Looks awesome! What front rack is that?
Also, are you running 35 tyres? I've been thinking of getting these (https://www.planetx.co.uk/i/q/TYVITRAILTECHTR/vittoria-trail-tech-g-tubeless-ready-folding-tyre) for leisurely rides on London streets and slight off-road but not sure, seems like the fit would be super tight. -

Not sure if you got an answer but I used this tubus clamp set on my Steamroller as while back with decent results:
https://www.sjscycles.co.uk/carriers-racks/14mm-tubus-clamp-set-rack-eyes-for-seat-stay-mounting/Worked well on seat stays and I used some electrical tape to protect the frame. Although the tape left some sticky glue residue when I took them off. Qq
Here's what my Dad Roller is looking like these days...
Changes are:
Nitto stem and Bosco bars
Nitto s65 seatpost
Rear wheel is SA 3-speed hub with H+Son rim
Panaracer Paselas 35c tyres (clearance is TIGHT!)
Adapter in stem stack is for the Thule Yepp Nexxt Mini front child seat.
