Also if you’re looking for some tunes, there’s been some great stuff out recently.
Cannot stop spinning Black Royal’s new one, Firebride. Like High On Fire but much better.

Also Vredehammer have dropped another belter with Viperous. Not sure if I love it as much as Violator but it’s just so good. I have Aggressor on repeat for over and unders in the turbo!

Kvaen’s The Funeral Pyre is a great melo/black/speed record - really fun and fantastic solos. A one man project from the hugely talented Jakob Björnfot.

Finally, Earth Rot’s third album (Black Tides of Obscurity) is a great death metal album with all sorts of black / doom elements thrown into the mix.

My Kona dad biek is in bits so I’ve spent the day bombing up and down the farm tracks on my wife’s bike with various little ones attached to me and/or the bike.
It’s taken most of the day practicing but I can now hold wheelies with one kid in the seat and one in a hiking backpack (with our eldest on his bike). Guaranteed giggles all round.

Picked up an Alpina Wing seatpost and Oval Concept A900 forks for the fixed TT build.
Had to get the forks as the steerer on the Alpina ones that came with the frame had seemingly been cut with a rusty spatula by the previous owner and were so low that I can’t imagine anything other than those super low profile Basso stems fitting.
Bought the Oval forks as they were super cheap, unused and ‘aero’. Having read a bit on the science behind them since then, it all seems a bit “80% of the time they work every time” but who knows!
Also snagged a Rotor track chainset from @onyerbike which will work well. Need some big TT track chainrings though which I’ve never had need for before.

Fortunately no!! We ended up staying in Hertfordshire as the space for the kids was such a game changer and the schools were so much nicer (by nicer I mean greener). I’m working more and more from home as well so just made sense.
Very lucky to be in lockdown in the countryside rather than our old place in London. It’s tough here juggling everything and we have fields for the kids to play in and no neighbours in sight. I’ve got nothing but admiration for everyone in London keeping their kids entertained, must be super hard.
Got our three year old smashing around on his Isla now which is cool, so fun going for rides together. They’re great little bikes, the fit and parts are all really well thought out for little bods.

Took the much neglected road bike out for a gentle spin today which was nice.
Thought the lockdown would bring endless hours of catching-up with bike projects but instead has brought endless hours of stress trying to juggle both parents working, three kids and no childcare! Millions in the same boat and with a lot more on their plate than me though so can’t complain.
