Your Z3 might support AT&T LTE.
If it has a model number D6603 or D6643 it should be fine.
All models should support AT&T 3G and 2G.
To find the model number and name of your Xperia™ device
From your Home screen, tap the Application screen icon. Find and tap Settings. Tap About phone/tablet > Model number. -
@hippy Why not just buy an AT&T pay as you go SIM*?
$45+tax from any AT&T shop, comes with 3gb of fast data and unlimited slow data.
Technically it's a subscription but service terminates at the end of the month without you doing anything. I've bought quite a few over the years with no issue.
Just make sure your phone is unlocked. UK galaxy S7 phones support AT&T 4G bands and are waterproof. Most phones should do 3G fine.
It's still worth carrying a UK SIM because the can roam onto any network so might sometimes get coverage where an AT&T SIM will ignore another network's signal.
*Verizon service is better in the middle of nowhere, but you need a Verizon specific phone for that.

I do agree that it all needs to be carefully considered but large private development does seem to be able to deliver things that small-scale development would find impossible - for example all the lovely car-free space at King's Cross.
As for tower blocks - if the choice if between super high density neighbourhoods (which you can walk or bike around) or losing more green space to expand the depressing suburbs then I'm all for tower blocks.
The more good homes, jobs, shops and attractions there are inside the circle line the more people will feel like living here rather than commuting in and blocking up the roads.

Our company doesn't have a cycle to work scheme, but I can probably get one pushed through* provided I can do the admin and it doesn't impact the balance sheet/company financials too badly.
Does anyone have a recommendation for the easiest way to offer the scheme?
If anyone has done "cost benefit analysis" type of thing for their employer and would be willing to share it that would be really useful.

Abingdon Street (the road from Lambeth Bridge to Parliament Square) is a disgrace.
Going away from the bridge the road surface is a potholed mess, so you have to take the whole lane.
Going towards the bridge you run the risk of getting caught between the blast barrier and a bus trying for an unsafe overtake.
Given how heavily used it is by cycle commuters they really need to do something about it. The irritating gap between CS8 and the EW superhighway just makes its deficiencies more obvious.
