Regards the dent, that’s on the down tube right? If so I’m sure that there is no tension on that tube (from what I’ve read online) so you should be ok if there is no cracks. I would take to a frame builder for advice though.

I’ve just done this for my build. I will say it is very hard. Remove the bolt completely and try to prise the stem open slightly when it gets tight. But it will go on.

Stem located and with me. Cinelli 1A 115mm stem for the grand sum of £5 :)

Bars have been cleaned and stealthed. Also tried the cages on frame and silver is the winner so that’s staying on. Just need to find a stem now.

Want to see if I can get the same cage in silver but with the red shock instead of yellow for matchy matchy points!

Yeah think I might run a quill and I think black 105 will look brill on this. I’ve had the BB chased and faced today, so just need to strip down my Specialized now for parts.

I would have a look through parts bin and see what I can pull out. I’ve got a 3t mega chromix on my Peugeot but think would look out of place on this build.

I’m torn between quill or ahead adapter. If I go quill what colour do you reckon? Silver or black quill? Group set and wheels are black. But seatpost and headset is silver?

Head tube decal arrived from H Lloyd. Really like the info sheet that comes with it :) Also cable stops didn’t turn up, but found a pair of shimano ones in parts bin.
