I have an almost absolutely mint F2 in my possession. Sadly, after selling my other F2, I no longer have any lenses. I can't bring myself to use this (I'd not want to scratch it) and I don't really use film SLRs anymore, more about rangefinders. But I'm sad to say goodbye to it because many of the remaining F2s seem to have actually been used quite a lot. This thing I don't think has even been screwed into a tripod before, by the look of it... would anyone be interested before I take it to the camera forums/ebay?

Agree 100% with this sentiment. Can't see it while driving. On the cabrio thing, I've never had one, but I can imagine a Boxster is a hoot having spent some time in a Cayman. Would defo like to buy one one day.
Oh and Brommers, does a 987 Boxster Spyder fit into your definition of no roof on a technicality?

Again, not uncommon in NZ. Well Cedrics and Cefiros anyway. I think in the UK you'd struggle to get people out of Mercs and BMWs of that era, but these were obviously quite expensive in NZ and had a reputation for being expensive to fix compared to Japanese imports.
That era of Japanese sedan/wagon aren't exactly pretty either which probably didn't help.

Posh corolla wagons with silver top, 4wd and diff locks. Think they're now worth the import costs - getting rare in Japan due to age and NZ is probably the cheapest place to get them.
They're also really light. I don't know what's not to like except the looks. I might by one in NZ and store with the folks for now.

The man maths works pretty well when facing a rebuild...
- Scrap the car and lose £££ and have no car
- Rebuild and spend £££ and have same car as before, which has cost you double what it is worth
- Rebuild to something more awesome and spend ££££ but at least it's better than what you had, and a bit different; the financials on all options are grim anyway
- Scrap the car and lose £££ and have no car
-
-
And lots of quite wealthy people have 996, 987, and 997s and are just waiting for bore score to blow £££££ on relining and rebuild. They're actually quite popular as track toys as well as the last 911s with hydraulic steering.
The fact the motor has so many inherent design flaws probably makes it easier for Dammit to sell engines... I doubt there would be any market at all for the same amongst, for example, 997.2 owners.
Having said that, my dream car is a 996 GT3 and I'd definitely just buy one rather than developing an engine, or buying a swish engine for a non GT 996 - but that's just me, not that I'll ever be able to afford either.

I've got threaded bb on my current road bike with 30mm spindle. It's the only road BB I've ever worn out and I did it in a year. Campag, shimano, done thousands of kms with threaded external BBs on 24/25mm axles no issues.
Sample size of one pretty much makes my experiences meaningless but will see how long the second BB lasts.
As for mtb - never found Sram BBs great even on threaded 24mm stuff and never used a 30mm/threaded bb combo but I'd rather stick to shimano.

A+: 4.6w/kg FTP, 300w FTP or higher.
A: 4.02w/kg FTP or higher.
Cat B: 3.2w/kg to 4.0w/kg FTP.
Cat C: 2.5w/kg to 3.2w/kg FTP.
Cat D: Under 2.5w/kg FTP.There's a loophole if you're a lightweight where you can have higher w/kg as long as you are under power (250 for B, 200 for C, etc.).
For the TTT though the teams are categorised based on the number of riders in each grade. So if you have even 1 A grader you are bumped up a class, etc. The classes have stupid coffee based names with the lower the milk content the faster the teams.

Ha yeah the team time trial is a bit complex.
Your team captain usually tells you what to do though. So, download discord app, get invited to group - that makes communication during race easy and its set to only turn on the mic when you talk so you don't just hear trainers and fans.
Team captain then tells you which event to join, and how to set up a Zwiftpower account, and how you add your team tag to your name. You don't need to worry about what grade to enter - the team captain checks all the grades of the riders based on their figures and enters correct event. If an ungraded rider puts out mega watts the team automatically gets upgraded after the event.
The only difficult bits are:
At the start, when the event starts you have to sit and wait for your team captain to tell you to go (s/he is timing the start so you go at your alloted time in real life)
During the race, drafting each other in a line is optimal, so you need to communicate a bit. It's best to ride at a pace all riders can maintain with stronger riders doing longer turns, just like in real life. Its waaaaaay harder than in real life though...
My team were really keen but then one by one couldn't make it after 3-4 races so I'd be keen to get another team going and I'd happily manage all these pesky logistics, as long as there are 4 keen riders of any ability who will commit to doing things like setting up a zwiftpower account and not being a dick and riding off in to the sunset as soon as the banner drops.
It makes otherwise-boring zwift a bit more interesting on Thursday evenings!

Communication is via discord. The WTRL TTT is a bit of a hack workaround so there's a real process to getting the start right - half the fun.
Teams can be mixed ability and graded accordingly. The main thing is working together well. If there's an A rider then probably put them on the front for long turns but not pushing threshold for drafting B/C/D riders in the team.
It's fun but so popular now that sometimes the wait in the start pen can be very long, over 10 minutes.
If team was new and couldn't check their Zwiftpower results, I'd say a reccy ride as a group would be almost essential.

If anyone wants the F2 (with leather case, also in good nick), I was going to list up for £250. But open to offers/LFGSS discount.
My last one I sold years ago for £185 and it was a beater compared to this.
