no I don't feel fooled :)
I would have been pleased with it if it was the correct size. The collar clamp and the canti studs should follow.
It is hard to get the frame now, so my thinking was that bringing it back to the UK would have saved on the shipping cost plus the import tax- and that someone else might be happy to have the frame if it was they size they were after. -
I have a new/unused cinelli mash work frame in smoked clear- there is a slight cosmetic defect from the paint (looks like a scratch) on the downtube.
I ordered this from ebay last month from Cinelli outlet USA- shipped to my relatives in USA. My wife brought it back to London this morning. Frame looks great, was about to start building it, but measured it anyway as it looked big. Was expecting a 58cm, but it is actually a 60cm top tube c-c so XXL on the frame geo chart. It also came without the seat post clamp or canti studs-have asked them to post them on.Have contacted them, but with the hassle of shipping back to USA etc...
SOLD.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/183522667131would also consider a trade, in the unlikely event someone has a 56 or 58cm mash work.
collection from ladbroke grove, or postage at cost.

haven't got around to building this yet, and don't have the space to keep it...

as mentioned in the original thread: the drive side chain stay was crimped for crank clearance (affecting the paint) and the forks taken back to carbon (so no longer pink) and then matt varnished.
£GONE
:)
from original ad:
Custom built frame (as all Talbots are) with a mix of Columbus (Max/Spirit) and custom chain stays.
Very light, very fast, beautifully responsive.
Stainless Talbot head badge
Wishbone seat stay.
PMW SS dropouts, will last forever.
44mm HT, for 1 1/8" to 1 1/5" tapered forks
27.2mm seatpost
Internal down tube rear brake routing.
Direct mount rear brake on chain stays.
Black Chris King Inset 7 headset. Butter smooth.
Custom mix champagne sparkle pink/purple paint.
Never crashed, dented etc. Usual paint chips etc. Right chain stay has been slightly pressed in to allow clearance for S75 DD's so some paint defects there.
