Everything about this looks like a Vento to me, unless I'm missing something. Weren't shamals all 16 spoke with bladed spokes? Ventos were 20 round spokes. The hub would be a giveaway, shamals have record hubs with the darker ring around the centre and ventos have a cheaper (athena?) hub with just an engraved logo in the centre.

If it's replaced by a bus then no, if it's a coach then you should be OK, although officially it's no.
Bought a bike last year and there was only one day I was able to pick it up, same day as rail replacements from Ilford to chelmsford. Figured I'd just play ignorant and try my luck and the coach driver just put it in the luggage compartment without saying anything.

I assume that Hospital road was cut off when they dualled Balkerne Hill in '77. Maldon Rd roundabout was made bigger and that bit of southway to the west was added. That's why Crouch street is so chopped up, it used to just be a straight road with a crossroads at balkerne hill but now it's 3 distinct and pretty awkward sections. The Toucan crossing is probably a much later addition but I couldn't tell you how long it's been there.
It's kind of moot now though since it was all dug up and closed as of about 2 weeks ago. All the brick lined vegetation between crouch street and southway has been levelled down to bare earth and they've temporarily closed the crossing to work on the road there. Will be interesting to see how it gets reborn.

There's a toucan i cross every morning on my commute that, as far as I can tell, leads to nowhere. In the view below, you can see the cycle path resumes on the right after the zig-zags. It means leaving the crossing halfway across and joining the road which doesn't feel like it should be the right way to use it but it's how I ride it. The path after the crossing is no cycling, the ramp straight ahead is for wheelchair access and there's no indication anywhere that bikes are permitted on it.
https://goo.gl/maps/d5fQJipkus62e: in any case it fails the guidance from the Department for Transport
Cyclists who need to cross the road will be directed to a cycle facility off the main carriageway, adjacent to the waiting area for pedestrians.

Mud Butlers would look good, not sure how easy they are to get hold of in the UK right now though.

My shed can perfectly store 2 bikes but can squeeze 3. Down to 2 right now but it means I'm constantly seeing bikes or frames and thinking 'well I could just squeeze that in and put up with it being cramped'.
Currently riding:
All-City Space Horse - Commuting/touring/long slow rides. Modern
Massi Mega-Team - Faster shorter rides. VintageKinda looking for a modern quick bike, or maybe a modern-groupset-old-frame project, but my disposable cash has been going elsewhere lately.

I won a Silvia v3 on ebay recently for £230, seems about the average price. The one you linked comes with some extra gaskets and descaler which is a good sign that it's been looked after. Mine had a pretty tired gasket which I replaced and the big removable brass bit above the screen needed a good soak to degunk.
Also, loving the Yellow Bourbon espresso beans. I'm used to getting a pretty dark roast and drinking it with sugar but these are great without. Was hoping they'd last until payday but I'm halfway through them already.

Liquids can turn into vapour below their boiling point, temperature and pressure of both the liquid and the atmosphere affect how much and how fast. See also: dew forming in the morning when the temperature drops enough for the water vapour to condense out (dew point).
p.s. Water doesn't only boil at 100°C :D

Before you go buying a new wheel, try an internal cam skewer. You're using an external cam one which can be fine in vertical dropouts but probably don't have the strength to hold it in horizontal ones properly.

I have a pair of 1995 700c Zondas and don't honestly know the difference between them and Ventos of the same year, except that ventos are a step up quality/price wise. They both look the same to me. I think in 1996 they all switched to 16 spoke but the '94 and '95 versions were both 16 spoke for shamals and 20 for vento/zonda.
