How does an eu43 come up in these? My understanding is that's a uk9 but looking at giro sizing, they seem to say uk8.5?

Started watching The Power on Amazon prime. I enjoyed the book, and so far it’s OK and that’s about it. Quite heavy handed and unsubtle. I feel like they’ve failed to mail a lot of the elements that made the book enjoyable.

My wife wore these Shimano RT500 (velcro) shoes for a couple of rides before deciding clipping in was not her bag. As such they’re in pretty great shape

I wore the RT400 (lace-up) shoes a bit more, but they’re still in decent condition.

I feel like I need to state on the record that we did not at any point wear these shoes at the same time, his and hers style.

Shimano don’t put uk sizes on their shoes, but I wear a UK8, for reference. Neither come with cleats, soz.

I'd just put two brakes on it, but my rear wheel has a 6-bolt / single thread hub so it's either one brake and fixed (with a 6-bolt cog) or 2 brakes and SS.

That’s what I was trying to think of, cheers! I was also going to investigate just removing the left lever. If I had 3d printer access/skills, I suppose I could fashion some sort of blanking stub like the cane creek hood.

What tends to be the solution for drop bars - wanting lever hoods on both bars but only one lever?
I've seen some with a sort of 'blanking' lever stub in place?

I'd rather avoid having an unconnected lever to accidentally grab.

117mm will put the granny ring bolts 2mm further out than the 113mm, so sounds like it should be fine if they were only just hitting the frame?

if I remember correctly, an ISO crank on a JIS BB will sit further out. I think the chainline difference is something like 2mm?
