The person I bought the crankset & pedals from also had a NOS TA 314 in stock. Someone else mentioned I could also just shorten the 118 axle to it's right size.. I don't think that's a good idea.

From what i've read, old TT frames could handle both. It was up to the cyclist himself what he prefered. I might be wrong though.

I would like to try both and see what I like most the most. 26inch gives me also a wider range on wheels.

I also really like the original paint but its just a complete mess :( it's getting loose in the corners and i'm not sure how to keep the frame in good condition with this paint. Maybe meet in the middle, repaint in colors? Don't go hating on me just yet, open for suggestions!

I'm the new owner of this pursuit bike.

Bought it here on lfgss, and it had previous owners from the forum. I almost collected all the parts I need for this project.

Mavic stem (coming this week)
Mavic headset
Stronglight BB 118mm (came with the frame)
Stronglight crankset
Ta 52T chainring
Zeus pedals
Stronglight Aero seatpost (still need to buy it)
Concor Supercorsa saddle (still need to buy it)

I'm not sure if my axle length (118mm) is to long for the crankset? I don't have the proper tools yet to install the parts. In a old thread I read that someone used a 115mm TA axle. I also might want to swap the 24inch for a 26inch Columbus fork.

I'm might want to remove the paint, because it's damaged a lot. I really like this orange color

For a new build i'm looking for 1 rear wheel, 700c, 120mm rear spacing and a front one 26inch wheel. Wheels i'm after are Corima 4 spoke, Corima Aero (older ones), vintage Roval track wheels, Mavic Comete or older Mavic cosmic in black.
