I can recommend dave at colour tech in dartford..he can get repairs done and painted most roberts frames from new.
Excellent finish.
The other go to is vaz who brother does the repairs in house, and used to work for roberts themselves. -
Colour tech says they do frame repairs on the website, and at very decent price. This possibly could be done by Geoff Roberts who uses dave for paint and down the road in Kent.

I had this issue with an CK ahead HS in the end I found someone willing to machine in on a lathe.
Apparently it's the difference between JIS and ISO. -

I often saw young mums with a couple of kids and shopping heading uphill on an electrically assisted mamachari type bike in tokyo

I suppose the history of these places as fatality sites plays on the mind.
Often you have to drift across lanes to exit, long vehicles are often unpredictable and even normal cars have poor lane discipline in these scenarios, mix blind spots and poor road awareness, I sigh a sense of relief every time I exit them safely. -
Big roundabouts and gyratory are a hate, sometimes unavoidable and they have almost zero provision for cyclists.

Only done the DD once and it was a separate service with the bike carriage at the end of the train. It was probably too much faff, esp with staff shortages...etc.

I'm with you on this one. For cycling to become normalised in London for most people it will need to part of the transport solution not the solution.
Remind you to shout at the next Brompton riders on the tube or buses...unacceptable behaviour.

Plenty of clapham is free on single yellow on Sunday, there even some bits that free permanently, but they are extremely busy and hard to get.
I suspect you could even get closer then that if some is familiar with areas such as stockwell vauxhall ...etc. -
Bikepunx might be able to help I'm sure they laser cut the rings. I have an incredibly strong stainless steel one from them, I'm sure aluminium is do able.

I was interested in the yashujiro svelte which is the lightest steel frame ever made, until it appeared I was likely too heavy for those thin tubes.
