Not sure if it's a bargain but this Bianchi Lo Pro is about two grand cheaper than the only other one on the bay.
edit: as pointed out below - probably not what I thought it was. Oops.

You clearly have some unique circumstances that account for what you are saying, I think what people are taking issue with is how you are taking those circumstances, and the attitudes and experiences you have from that specific perspective, and have tried to apply them to everyone else as a best practice regardless of their aims, goals or circumstance.

Just bought a budget pair from SelectSpecs (£16 incl. postage). Came quicker than they estimated and fit better than any pair I've had from Specsavers, as good as the more expensive Boots pairs I've had too. For the price, highly recommended.

Article on them here. Comparison with standard 1.125" bearings shows a massive difference, not that it seemed to help them much.

It depends completely who'll be coaching you. If it's some random gym trainer then you'll get random results. If you've got someone who really knows their stuff then they'll give you a few pointers but, saying that, I'd be very surprised if technique is what's holding back progress on the lifts unless you're injuring yourself.

How did you find the behind-the-arse water bottles? Any bottle ejections, especially with larger bottles? I've always thought it makes the most sense to go this way with a larger framebag but heard horror stories from testers and triathletes.
