Hi all, I am selling my late 90s Cougar which was to be my Summer machine but financial situation has put paid to that.
About the bike:
I do not know the year of build, or the tubeset, there are no stamps on the BB either. From trawling Retrobike I've concluded that it is most likely Dedaccai Zero Uno, going by the similar colourschemes of other Cougar framesets on there that also have had decals peel off. Obviously I'm not certain on that, the bike is very light though. The frame has a CTC TT measurement of 56cm and the seattube is 54.5 CTC. The Campagnolo Record seatpost is seized in the frame, I have not endeavoured to remove it save dousing it in WD40. Unfortunately there is also a crack below the seatclamp, which I have shown below. The paintwork isn't in the best nick as can be seen in photos. A set of Cougar decals can be had on the bay for 7 quid which I think would breath a lot of life back into the aesthetics. The bike will also need a decent going over/service.
Components are as follows:
Campagnolo Record Titanium 8 Speed Ergos (some scratches and pitting)
Campagnolo Record Titanium Rear Mech
Campagnolo Record Front Mech(braze on)
Campagnolo Record Crankset 172.5mm w/52t & 42t(not pictured) rings
Campagnolo Record BB (there is some play, I haven't investigated)
Campagnolo Record seatpost (quite a bit of pitting)
Campagnolo Record Calipers front and rear (pitting to front, rear VGC)
Campagnolo Ultra Low Drag cables throughout
Cinelli Pinocchio Stem w/ ITM Super Italia ergo drops
Mavic Aksium Race Wheelset(bearings good front and rear, rear needs a true)
Shimano 600 headset
Shimano Light Action Pedals
San Marco Ponza Seat
Schwalbe Lugano Tires(some life left)I'll also be including a pair of dashing yellow bottlecages and a couple of tubes.
I'm asking
£330£320£310£300£295£290 posted from ROI to mainland UK ONO. I think a repair on the seatclamp is achievable without being pricey. With no framebuilders around I would only have the resources near me to blob weld it and I believe the bike deserves better than that. Please don't hesitate to ask any questions or if you want more photos of anything just let me know!

Yeah I found a crack at the downtube/headtube join so stripped that area to see if it was just a crack in the paint which it was fortunately. Then I sort of had to strip the rest of it.
I rubbed it down with some engine oil but it needed to be left in the sun for a while or in front of an industrial heater for the oil to get into the pores of the steel, which it didn't. So it rusted pretty quickly. I'm going to de-rust as it's a bit much currently. Gonna do the oil method again but properly with a heater. A heat gun might do it too actually now that I think about it.

Hoping that there might be some Cougar buffs who can help me gain a little more insight in terms of the provenance of the Cougar I picked up. From digging around on Retrobike I'm thinking it might be late 90s, possibly Donohue built. The rear dropouts have "tecnociclo" printed on them and there's no printing or marking at all on the BB shell. I'm really surprised at how light it is even with the Halfords saddle and some other patently heavy bits. Full C-Record throughout with Record Titanium levers and rear mech.

Any help greatly appreciated!

Right so apologies for the probably dopey question. I bought a used Seiko diver (6309-729A, 1988 I was told) a couple of months ago, first automatic I've owned. The hour and minute hand are out of sync i.e the minute hand is at quarter past(say, 6 o'clock) but the hour hand hasn't reached 6 yet(is at where it should be if reading 5.55-5.57).
Is this a pricey fix? The watch loses about a minute a day so I'd be looking to get that sorted too. Is this the preserve of a high street jeweler or should I be looking at official Seiko dealers? I didn't pay a whole lot for the watch so I wouldn't be looking to spend more than a tonne. If it'd be more I'd rather shell out for a new SKX009 or similar.
Many thanks for any advice!

Hey guys,
I bought a used Bagaboo Workhorse XL from a dude a couple of days ago and the lower cross strap isn't present. I bought it in the dark and was looking at the overall condition of the bag more so than the strap situation, which claimed in the ad that all were present and in good nick. I've attached a pic below to the strap I'm referring to.

What I want to know is, is there any chance this was considered an optional extra with the Workhorse or were both top and bottom support straps included with every bag? On the site it infers that both were as it's Bagaboo's flagship but just wanted to be sure. If they were standard then I'm gonna hound him for an explanation as it's useless without and won't stay on my back at all(even though I should have tried it on really).
Any help greatly appreciated.

Thank you @NurseHolliday and @TRA for the insightful insights re. the 106. Much appreciated.

Having been lurking this thread recently and noticing the cheap AX related chat decided to go looking around my area to see if there were any cheap ones. Didn't find any but came across this instead and I'm pretty taken with it.

And the seller's blurb:
1995 Peugeot 106 S1; 74,000 miles, 1.1L engine, XN model, 3 owners from new. Original Peugeot Alpine White paint, professionally compounded recently, and kept in as good a condition as possible. Homoligated shell, with plate & stamp. When I say it's rust free, bar a bubble the size of a fingertip, its incredible. Have been under the car, had the complete interior out and not a single bit of rot found. Every last thing the car has needed it has got. Got a full service this week including new filter, brakes (disks, pads, master cylinders & shoes), new driveshaft etc. Car has NCT until 31-05-17 and tax until 12-16. Car comes with a functioning alarm and imobiliser fitted by O'Leary Alarms in Cork. 2 new front tyres were fitted less than 2 months ago, and the car was tracked at the time
In my time, theres been a few 'improvements':
Pair of XSI bumpers, off an ex-Mark Higgins rally car. Rear was repainted, front is presentable but has 'patina'
Set of Citroen AX Michelin steel wheels
Upgraded front suspension including lowering springs & shocks
Straight through rally exhaust
PugSport Short Shifter
Starter Button wired into ignition
106 GTi Cloth interior. Not a single rip or tear in the seats, and the car has never once been smoked in.
Upgraded door speakers
RRS Deep Dish steering wheel
Reinforcements made to seat mounts, common 106/Saxo issue
As well as that, I have a fair amount of spares going with the car including:
Pair of bumpers
Extra 3-Stud steel wheels
OMP 3 Point Harness
Wheel Spacers
Full OEM Exhaust. Backbox on this is less than 6 months old!
Haines Manual
Original Steering WheelPrice works out at roughly £770. The last car I owned was a NA MX5 so I'm cool with not much power as long as there's cheap thrills to be had. Would love to hear people weigh in with their 106 experiences. Going to get a few quotes in the morning and hopefully view it on Fri/Sat. Anything I should look out for? The car's 170 miles away so it would be great to go armed with some information and even some questions I can ask the bloke over the phone.
Any advice is much appreciated!
