Not sure - just no route is showing up, and no segment or KM breakdown.
I used it for a 21k on Sunday and it worked absolutely fine, and then used it for two short runs on Monday and today (local errand runs, so as @Arducius pointed out, maybe within my privacy zone), but weird that it’s not even showing up for me..
Will test it on a longer run tomorrow!

Sorry, missed both these. Thanks for the route and the tips! Gonna try this out one weekend in April. Someone else sent me a route that dips below Chelmsford and goes through West Hanningfield which looks nice so will take one of the two: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/28929707

Thanks for raising this. I saw that tweet and I feel exactly the same. Every year when the clocks go back, I change my running routine so I'm running in the morning or at lunch time (easier now we're working from home!) to make sure I can run in the light... I'm jealous of my partner, who finishes work and runs around the marshes in the dark – that must feel freeing...
FWIW, for me personally, when someone makes eye contact and smiles/says hello, it puts me at ease. And the same goes for crossing the road (whether running or walking). I don't think it comes across as creepy, and it's something that we should all get used to doing anyway just to be friendly – when I'm running int' countryside, I'm always struck by how every single person seems to say hello! Just to add, it's not only running at night – it's also when in spaces that are a bit more removed from public eye. Ie. industrial estates / underpasses / the back bit of the walthamstow marshes where it butts up against the trading estate. I often run there because it's unpaved and a bit more 'trail' like than the main track, but it's always deserted* and it's nice when other runners say hello.
Also, what's the Beacon feature?
.* potentially near a cruising spot (as someone pointed out on here a while ago) which may explain the shifty looking people. I learnt my lesson after running right into the lion's den at Hollow Ponds...

Haven't heard of the Mercian Challenge, but it sounds great! How long did it take you – assuming it was in one push? I did a Race to the Stones (100k) in 2019 and as enjoyable as the challenge was, I've come to learn that I love shorter distances.
Was thinking of maybe doing 2-3 days of running, so 100 miles could actually work quite nicely and may even be enjoyable.

Anyone run any of Offa's Dyke path? I'd like to do a few days of running with a bivvy in late April/early May, and this seems like a lovely and straightforward route (nav wise). I'll be based in Bristol, so was thinking of maybe doing some of the southern sections in the Wye, but any suggestions welcomed..

I've promised to take a friend on a mini "tour" from London to a friend's woodland near Colchester where we'll camp (when things open up again). She's not done much touring before, so wanted to go on quieter routes, but Google is routing me straight down the A road from Romford to Chelmsford and beyond... Looking for something a little less busy – GPX files would be great!
I have a route from West Ham to Romford planned already (my commute), so from Romford - Colchester area would be ideal. Thanks!

GPX routes I can put on my Garmin would be much appreciated!
Thanks

It seems that campsites may be opening along with self-catering accommodation after 12 April. I'm thinking of booking a few days with my partner and our parents so we can all get together before we move abroad in May (and camping seems like a safe option – they'll have all had their jabs by then too!).
Can anyone recommend any nice sites for simple tent camping (ie. not surrounded by loads of cars vans) somewhere in between Bristol and Nottingham? Ideally near to nice walks - Cotswolds, Peak Dist, Malverns etc. Thanks

@Tenderloin @MrBaklava Brooks said they're the same size apart from the width. I was just confused by the EU sizing being different, but I think I'll go for it and hope for the best..

Sizing question...
I'm looking to replace my Brooks shoes. My existing ones are women's size UK 6.5 / EU40 / 25.5cm / D width. I've seen a new pair of Men's hyperion tempo for a good discount (box says men's 7.5 / UK 6.5 / EU 40.5 / 25.5cm / D width). The only difference seems to be the EU size, so I’m a little confused.. Will these be too big for me? Thanks
Edit: the same size apart from the EU size. And am I right in thinking that the men’s size listed is US?

Hi @skydancer, thanks for sharing this - I volunteered for a year with Cycling Without Age (a similar charity in Copenhagen), but hadn't come across RBSB before! The video made me smile. I've just sent you an email with a few questions, and look forward to hearing from you soon. Thanks :)

Running in the rain: I wear an innov8 ultra shell in the rain, but I run v hot and create a lot of moisture on the inside of the jacket even when it's chilly out. I'm wondering if maybe I need a different base layer? I always wear a a LS merino under it – would a synthetic layer be better at wicking sweat away under the rain shell? I stopped buying synthetic baselayers a while ago as I could never seem to get rid of the smell of sweat after a year or so of wearing it, and found that merino never smells..

I've just to Stratford/West Ham, so I now have a flat, paved and (relatively) uninterrupted running route along the Greenway to play on. Just ran my fastest 5k (23.03) which I'm quite pleased with. Any tips for getting faster? Might set myself an arbitrary goal of a 22.30 5K by the end of lockdown..
Edit: Just realised 23.03 was my elapsed time – 5k was actually 22.53
A pal in Copenhagen has just launched a product that turns your regular pushbike into an e-cargo bike. they've got a crowdfunder here – check it out!
