There's one opportunity to do it northbound and one southbound - as long as you're sticking to the CS7 in each direction.
Northbound - if the light is green for the two lanes of left-turning traffic going up Kennington Road, you can take the right hand lane (of those two) and nip into the cycle lane slightly beyond where the light is red for the cyclists. Off you go up the CS7 (Kennington Park Road) to freedom.
Southbound - similarly, if the light is green for the traffic going up towards Brixton you can take the lane and nip into the Clapham-bound CS7 just beyond where the light is red for the cycle lane.
Disclaimer: I've never done this, and nor am I advocating it. Have just noticed it's technically possible.

Basically what I do is instead of heading toward the cycle lane where the traffic light for cyclists is on, I ride on the bus lane that's heading toward Waterloo avoiding it, then a quick turn into the cycle lane situated between the two lane (ahead of the cycle lane that have the traffic light).
I've noticed this loophole at Oval too. Very crafty.
My personal gripe for the day is the cyclists surrounding the poor left-indicating learner driver at the red light near Clapham Common. Guys, give the poor fucker some space - why squeeze down the side? I'm so glad I didn't learn to drive in this city...

A white van man at the top of Kennington Park Road was looking to turn left from the right hand lane this morning. He got rather annoyed when there was no gap in the cyclists/buses - proceeded to lean on his horn, force his way through and jump the red while yelling furiously out his window. Top example of frustration and impotence induced by being trapped in a slow-moving line of metal boxes.
In contrast, the zen is strong with me today. Lovely slow roll to work.

If people don't want to talk then that's their call, I guess. We don't know their problems.
And yeah, @mashton makes a good point - it's to do with there being more riders out there, which is great.
Still... would have been nice to have got a little acknowledgement...

The curious case of the bus indicating left and turning right this morning.
Tried to strike up a conversation about it with a full kit wanker at the lights, in a sort of 'Drivers, eh?' sort of way. Forgot I was in London. Got completely blanked. Nice.
In the words of Newton Faulkner, people should smile more.

Rather satisfying exchange with a lady drinking outside the pub at Clapham North this evening.
Was filtering past a Prius (let's face it, probably an Uber) as he edged into the cycle box. Made a motion to let him know he was well over his line.
Heard a shout from the pub "You don't even pay tax!"
Replied over my shoulder without thinking: "I pay more than most!"
Little bit braggy, but I think I made my point...

Chap on a battered old hybrid(?) with the chain falling off coming down Bedford Road towards Clapham North this morning.
First, don't make a disgruntled noise at me as I stop for the zebra crossing and you speed up my left hand side and in front of the peds on the crossing.
Second, you then proceeded to blast through every red light you saw, and despite this disregard for other road users managed to muster your own indignant anger towards the driver that saw you at the last second and slammed his brakes on.
I tried to catch you up to tell you this to your face, but your RLJ'ing made it impossible.
Have a nice day.
Looking forward to this footage.
