Got a load of stuff here that is surplus, happy to give it away so if you want it, just say! Would much much rather not have to post this stuff due to free aspect, but if after a while it hasn't gone may consider it at cost... but would much much rather not, did I mention that?

I had a single speed (not fixed) that was geared to ride all over town including the hills of North London, and was set up so that it was rideable with panniers as well as unladen. Gearing that I settled on was 35/13 on 700, 25c tyre, giving a 71.17 gear inch.

Couldn't go too fast flat or downhill without spinning out, and was a bit of a slog at times on the hills with a load on, but was a good all rounder.

Which is a shame as the fabric is absolutely amazing - absolute perfection in use, but obvs understandable and the environment must come first etc... But even still, shakedry is / was phenomenal

This was the quickest option as I'm WFH and couldn't resist getting stuck in, however, I've set myself up for muddied mids and perilously wayward treble, as the change compartment in the kitchen drawer only offered up 3 x 1ps, and 1 x 2p...!

Cheers, good point - quite like the idea of something being permanently attached to avoid mishaps, but I see what you mean about the price difference, might be the better option for now at least.

Ha, good point - will 2 pence pieces definitely give a playfully insouciant but subtle and nuanced separation of the production on all musical styles? Because that's quite key in what I'm looking for.

Thank you - yes my main issue is the floor protection, the speakers have spikes underneath which came with little rubber protective caps but I noticed the other day some of the caps seem to have vanished and the floor's getting scratched, so want to do something conclusive. Will investigate, cheers.

Ah, was thinking that first living room picture was of your room and spotted the socket protectors pack on the shelf - if not, then ignore me!

Nice bookshelf - feel civic dutybound to flag that socket protectors are widely considered to be more dangerous than not using them as UK sockets already have better protection in them that the protectors neutralise... be warned!

What are the feet you've got the stands on? I need something like that for my floorstanders...

I've only skimmed the above couple of pages, but if it's vaguely of interest, I have a quite but not overly silly hifi, listen to a lot of Fabric mixes, and am a years-long convert of Picoreplayer and LMS. Three pi LMS players around the house all of which stream music from one which is the server, the other two are players only. They occasionally all get synced together, but often don't. The pis have DAC upgrades in them, all sounds very nice, and are fun to mess around with as well as to use. I'm listening to one now in fact, though it's a Renaissance mix, not Fabric... and the playback is virtually but not quite absolutely gapless.
