I also thought this, but doing this means there is too much excess material which causes more folds and pinch points.
@SuperSalat It may have to be back to the shoe goo, although it's eventually just cracks also.
@doubleodavey I reckon I'll give them a shot as my next shoe then. Tread looks good for the sloppy hills around mine, not so much for the 4km of pavement to get to the hills though.

Does anyone else get this same problem?
I've tried nearly every brand of running shoe, and quite a few different models. I have very flat feet so trying to find a well fitting and robust trail shoe is difficult.
The best shoe over the years has been the saucony Xodus Iso 2 for durability, it couldn't be beat as the weak point on my running shoes is always on the outside of the shoe where the wee toe rubs. I always wear through, or the seam bursts. The problem is the saucony Xodus Iso 2 has been "upgraded" in the 3, and the weak point for my feet at the wee toe is now not as built up in that shoe.
I burst through my Altras. I wore through my last peregrines. I burst the seam on the hokas. I wore through on the Salomon trailster and a pair of old cross.
Now I've gone for the new saucony peregrine 10 ST. I already know they're going to burst through the sides and I'll get ANOTHER refund or exchange.
Does anyone else have this problem or have any ideas for recommendations?

I'm miffed,
Bought a bike with;
FRAME
Double Butted CrMo, 27.5+ Wheels, Boost 141x9mm Open Dropouts
FORK
CrMo, Thru-Axle, Suspension Corrected, Boost 110mm Spacing, QR Lever.
So bought,
DT Swiss X 1900 Spline 25 27.5" Boost Wheel Set
With,
DT Swiss Retrofitting Kit for 240S Rear Hub to QR 135mm
And
DT Swiss 350/370 VR Disc Brake 5x100mm QR Conversion Kit.I double checked with the store online before I bought them that they would do the job, but the adapters make my hubs too wide.
Have I fucked up with my wheel size or are they the wrong adapters? The wheels for well with no adapter but I need QR as the frame is no bolt through. -

Cheers,
Also might check out these

But I'm guessing these won't fit?
https://www.wiggle.co.uk/wtb-horizon-tcs-road-tyre/
Not sure what 47c equates to.
Or may just get smaller rims, but these are QR boost so reckon I'd need a conversion kit.

Just got me a Marin 27.5+. Looking for daily use tyres to use instead of the full on MTB tread. Mostly road, but with the ability for some rough stuff.
WTB horizons, panaracer gravel kings seem to be the most common tyres I'm reading about.
What are the recommendations? If anyone has anything worthwhile to sell in good condition, even better.
Nice one. Do you happen to know the name of the model?
