Trying bullhorns instead of drops and got myself a new 46T chainring (thanks DNA). Not sorted cabling as I need to settle on bars still.
Commuting on it tomorrow for first time!!!
Normally I ride an Alfine 8 and in prep for going single speed I've been restricting myself to 2 or 3 gears. It's amazing how quickly you adapt.
Also hacked rear rack. -

scroll down theres something on this link above about keeping the wheels in the frame and using string to line up the two wheels.
If you're BB shell/triangle are out I think it would show up in the wheel alignment.
good luck -

@GreatSince78, I've sent you a PM but yes this one is yours if you want it.
I found all the brake bits which you're welcome to. -

Your're a true gent for offering these and I appreciate it so I hope I don't sound ungrateful or churlish but I'm really after dual pivots. I know you've offered them as "stop gaps" but there's no point in me taking them and them swapping them out soonish and then "freecyling" them.
Re giving stuff away free "what goes around....".
Appreciate the pointer on the shimano brakes on teh BJ.
Thanks

I have two kids bikes (see other posting) that are going free.
The bike is an Apollo Popstar. I replaced the front brake, the originalcantilever never worked, with a BMX style caliper as the original was totally ineffective. I have another caliper and the original canti which I'll include. It's a singlespeed.
It "might" have some superficial rust from lying outside.
I can measure update thread if anyone is interested?
Sorry I can't remember the wheel size.I'm based in East London E11, near the M11 and A406 and bike will need to be picked up.

The first is nominally a boys bike, although I have two girls and both happily rode this. It's a Dunlop Velocity 6 speed. Everything works although from memory it has a little difficulty in making it into the largest gear but it I'm sure it only needs adjusting. My kids never really changed gear much!
It has a superficial rust from lying outside on the headset, chain and brake noodles but everything works, brakes and gears etc.

Edit: I've measured and it's 16" wheel so for kids between 5-8. It's a 22nd standover height of 22".I'm based in East London E11, near the junction of the M11 and A406 and bike will need to be picked up.

@Scilly.Suffolk
Any chance you could name a few good cables as I'm tinkering with DP brakes for the first time in years. I have bog standard shimano housing and wondered if I'd get a boost from upgrading.
Ta
Hears the rack hack.
I'll tidy it up a bit with the grinder/linisher when I have more time.
It's actually quite strong as I doubled the brackets up, one goes inside a slot on the rack and one on the outside and then both are bolted to the rack and frame.
I'm after mudguards now as I reckon I'll like SSing.
