@velosaurus that looks interesting thanks.

@Pasty_Spumante I think (it was years ago) I did something like this @M_V is suggesting after I sold a range cooker on ebay that was cash on collection. I rang ebay and they said ask to see the buyers passport/driving license. I even took a photo of it and him loading it into his van so had his reg number as well. I think as long you detail this in the messages between you and the buyer in advance they can't complain and if they do it's a red flag.

@fizzy.bleach I might be up for the fork if you split.

Cheers @dancing james for confirming it's a feature, it seemed like that but I was concerned it was a warning sound to alert me to an current overload/faulty connection.
@Jonny69 actually I wonder if it well serve that function i.e. if the bulb blows then it will not beep.

I have a tow bar mounted Thule 3 bike carrier. I bought it used and the PO had converted it from 7 pin to 13 so when I got my tow bar installed I had a 13 pin socket installed.
Long story short all lights and indicators are working on the Thule and on the car but when my indicators are on there is a beep at the same frequency as the indicators. Is this a design feature or a warning?
Thanks -
@amey you're the devil on my shoulder! I like the old frame with DP brakes and that's its hand made and fillet grazed.
-
@ChasnotRobert, I hope it's dry inside too as I love it.
I really like the ride but I'll be honest and say I'm no expert on frame material. I'm not 100% sure about the carbon fork so will swap back to the steel fork before deciding about respray and rebuild.
Over on the Thorn forum there's much more talk about the ride quality of the various tubesets from folks who have had a lot of Thorns.
If you're near E11 you're welcome to pop in for a socially distanced chat and even take it for a ride if it helps.

@ChasnotRobert, ah of course.
I've been riding an Thorn 853 audax bike with Shimano R650 brakes and 9 speed Ultegra shifters and the braking performance is excellent. It's the best braking performance after discs and Vs. I was considering putting a disc fork and getting a tab brazed on the rear but not sure it will add much but dont think I need it will probably get the frame and forks sprayed and tart it up.
It's also one of those frames built by Lee cooper with sealed tubes so I better give it shake to see if it's full of water!

Thanks guys. Checked my alternator as both lynx/airhead suggested but seems the charging current was good. Bought an ebay cheapy OBD reader and cable and found two errors. Cleared both but will look up the numbers.
I just need to do some tinkering, I snapped the peg off the brake pedal peg so I'm going to fix a new platform once I've cut the stub off and drill a couple holes. -

It turns out it's the engine warning light not the alternator light. As mentioned its had a new battery and I disconnected an alarm, added a trickle charger port and fitted a gps tracker. I'd better remove all the stuff I've fitted and test again.
I'll check the battery across the terminals am with the bike running and with it off.
Thanks -
Can anybody point me in the right direction with a problem on my MT125. I fitted a new battery, gel instead of acid, more amps, 7A instead 5.5A. Been out for a good run tonight about 50 mins around the north circ road and the alternator light stays on constantly.
Just checked the battery and it has charged on that ride up to 100% according to my tracker.
