@giofox if it helps you can borrow a digital vernier gauge from me, I'm in E11. I have no idea what the tolerances on the stuff like this is but if you're sending it back at least you're armed with some info.

Hi @LeslieLamLam pity it looks a nice frame and forks and no probs contact when you need some parts, they're nothing special but ideal for a town bike.

@LeslieLamLam no probs, in my non expert opinion that looks like a 58cm or 23" if you're my age!
If you go this route I might have some bits you have either really cheap or free, bars, brakes, cranks, 1/8th chains. I don't think I've got wheels that suit.
good luck -
@LeslieLamLam obviously not sure about sizing...

quickie update.
Whilst the missus took the kids outto a local "jumble trail", more on that below, I cabled up the brakes and gears, switched the heavy AF steel stem for a stem adaptor and ahead stem. It's clunky but I'm changing the fork anyway and will be using an ahead in the future.
Brakes I bought from @alban are great but the back brake squeals like squealy thing!!!
Had a quick peek for toe in etc and when testing it off the bike I can see the rear stays flexing quite a lot so have ordered a brake booster. On my last V braked 26" MTB, I never had any noise from the brakes, I guess it was obviously made of stouter stuff!
Also switched the rack for a pizza rack I bought from @Jake (cheers Jake!)
Here's how it looks now.

They look to have wear indicator are they rim brake compatible?
