For two weeks of touring. Checked the straps mid way and was still tight.

Was tight as fuck to begin with though. Very minimal movement, if any, so wouldn't worry about wear.

I used these SKS strap on things. With a few rounds of inner tube and tape on the seatstay.
Worked flawless, but a tight bidon/bottle fit is important if you're offroading.

If you want a splash of white on the bike I have an unused revelate gas tank laying around. Anti camo though, but surely you're making a snow camo framebag for winter use :)

My genesis tarn on maxxis chronicles is a tractor. Super fun off road, not so much on road.

I've been riding wide lightnings like an idiot on my Solaris for 2 years, starting out with putting a nice fat dent in rear rim (too low pressure) and they've been tubeless and trouble free so far.
