Is it possible to ride only a part of it with you guys? I do most of my weekly rides in the triangle Ghent-Oudenaarde-Geraardsbergen so meeting some of the LFGSS-people would be nice.

It's a fantastic region to cycle, especially when you like the "Classics"(Tour of Flanders, Paris-Roubaix, Liège-Bastogne-Liège). If you need inspiration, I'll be glad to help. I grew up on one of the bumps they climb in ToF and my brother lives in the middle of the L-B-L "finale". ;-)

Normally this one is a "keeper" but that's something I'm only sure after having ridden it in a in a decent way (being: uphill is this is said to be a "mountain bike" because of it's short stays and short top tube)

We can have them chromed in the old way that's true. But we have regulations as well, you know. ;-) Thing is: combination of both old school and regulation makes a rechrome (headtube and lugs and rear stays) pretty expensive. I asked price to redo a Master X Lite and (partially) rechroming frame and forks would have cost me more than 400 euro...

Thanks for the tip but don't think the Italian flag or WC-colours would give me relaxing bike rides. ;-)

As this winter's weather is more like that in early spring, I decided to put on a rack on one of my "old" racebikes and go for a 3 days tour from Ghent to the Belgian Ardennes (360 km).

Found some time to start building my Gios Evolution. Just don't know yet what colour bartape to put on it. Have some white with Gios logo on it but think black might look better. And I need another stem for it (black ITM Eclypse?)

Rode the Gran Fondo Fausto Coppi on it (175 km, 4500 meter of climbing) and didn't go slower than on my 7 kg CAAD 10. Didn't een spent lots of money either: Sram Force groupset, 2nd hand lightweight alu wheels, 2nd hand lightweight seatpost,...

I'm pretty sure it's a respray: I've never seen an original painted one with painted inside of the seat tube. That's a bit "amateuristic".
