I've never had a clutched rear mech and it's been fine, getting the chain length right is key. I think I got the set up info on the absolute black website. You can increase the spring tension on Shimano rear mechs which makes a big difference. I think SRAM rear mech already are already set up with a high tension

After using the tubeless version I've gone for the Vittoria muds which are pretty versatile. I've been impressed how fast they've been in the dry, andyp's experience in the mud last year was very positive. They are fully latex sealed so you have to use Vittoria's pro mastic which I'll have a go with this week

Just to add to the mix there is also the tubeless tubular options from Donnelly and Tufo ( Tufo makes both). I've gone to the dark side and bought a tub wheelset. It came with challenge baby limus glued on so I'm going to give them a try over the summer before fitting the tufo tyres got from Ribble for just over £60 a pair. If they turn out to be a bit pap I'll stick with the challenge tyres
The Donnelly tubs are a lot more pricey, the cheapest I've found is £86 a tyre and are almost and exact copy of the baby limus, but if they are easily repaired it may turn out to be a cheaper option in the long run. Has anyone on here tried them?https://winstanleysbikes.co.uk/donnelly-pdx-700c-tubular-sc-cx-tyre

Just use tyre levers
Mine did get overwhelmed a bit when the course started to dry out and get claggy on the outfield
