This wee road closure on Cable St outside Shadwell Overground has me thinking I should just use the road all the time. Usually always green once you reach the Crown & Anchor lights, and the lights onto Royal Mint St always change before the cycle lane. Aside from that, pretty quick ride in this morn: lovely weather, birds chirruping, everyone happy on the roads.

Thank you to the man riding his suitcase to work. Or at least I thought he was: he'd just strapped a suitcase to the front of his mini scooter. You gave me many laughs.
Thanks also to the hi-vis workman at the Tooley St lights, whose poorly made plastic whistle gave a delightfully hilarious 'pfloot' when the lights were about to change.
And finally, a pat on the back to the hungover man chundering into an open drain outside Brixton Tube station. You had too much sauce last night, methinks, but fair play for making it to the Underground before 9 a.m. Chips for lunch.

Seems a bit self-defeating that they invite you to admire the original, 'painted by Jimmy C in 2013', but then reproduce it in the foyer.

Wicked! You'll have to send me some places to try, should be back out there next month (hopefully). Tend to eat around Maria Pita square and towards the breakwater, but never tried the rest of the city.

You headed to A Coruña only or exploring some other places? There's loads you should try, A Casa do Peixe in Muxia is incredibly good. Bar Malpica in A Coruña is quaint and fairly decent, but really cheap so worth a shot. There's some more upmarket places too.

Got back from A Coruña yesterday, bagged 180g of dulce and 75g of picante for about £4. Pimentón for dayssssss

Me Julie's bike had a funny turn this morn. Freewheel wasn't catching when accelerating, just spinning, but a back-pedal clicked it in. Had to get off and loosen the wheel, pushed it far back in the drops and re-tightened to give it a bit more hold.
Worked perfectly until we got to Brixton Cycles where it's now getting a new freewheel and chain.

Went to grab some osso bucco on Saturday morning with every intention of cooking it that evening. Didn't get around to it until quite late last night, but by 8.30 p.m. it was in the oven. Didn't fancy waiting 2 hours for it to slowly bubble away, so pulled it out after GoT had finished.
Thankfully didn't disappoint, wonderfully tender, and enough sauce left over to give myself fancy spaghetti for lunch every day this week.

Massive apologies to the guy who let out an expletive because I popped out in front while you were filtering in the middle. I had been there too and nipped in left to make some extra ground. I did check no one was coming when moving back into the middle but you were going fast. Nevertheless, sorry for startling you!

For a quick dinner, I usually make rocket pesto linguine with baby pomodori. I've always got rocket, parmesan and pomodori knocking about, and it's even tastier if you chuck in a handful of frozen seafood. 15-minute dinner!
@cornelius_blackfoot Thanks man, that's good to know. Might just buy a heap of stuff and freeze into portions. Are we talking restaurant-sized orders then?
