I am looking to get us a decent compact / mirrorless camera for just travelling / family use. I own a Canon DSLR from a few years ago, but rarely use it because of the size or weight.

My only real “want” is something with a viewfinder and not just a screen on the back.

Looking for any recommendations but some stuff i've seen so far includes:
Sony Cyber-Shot RX100 Mkiii
Panasonic Lumix DC-TZ90GN-K

Open to any suggestions up to about £3-400

Yep, Ignis sport. I think a handful of these were built for a local championship, it has a plate LSD and bilstein coilovers and a few other bits, super nice cage and seats etc

Here’s a few pics from my first event in NZ. Got the car a couple of weeks before lockdown, few bits of prep before the first event since we went to Level1 here. Got round with only one minor mishap with a banking after a spin, didn’t come last. Very tricky conditions.

I almost bought a Forester STI from Christchurch but i was massively put off by the thirst of them.

We’re doing this at the moment, when we moved overseas we didn’t want loads of cash tied up in road cars and bought a rough but mechanically decent car for £1500, it’s needed £500 of work in the first 8 months we had it in preventative maintenance, and I’ll have to do the front brakes soon, but you can make it work if you’re not too fussy about aesthetic condition

Yeah i read up a bit on them after i originally posted, I'd sort of forgotten that a lot of the T4 etc of that era had a 2.5TDI version which was 5cyl.

I'd actually quite like a T5 sportline as it is!

I've worked on a basic rolling road when I worked at a small kit car manufacturer a while back, so I know a reasonable amount about Dyno/RR foibles and pub figures if that's what you're getting at.
