Yeah, I think I'll go for the smaller rectangular ones, they seem to be common on other race / rally / hillclimb polos. You can also get them in plastic casings which means they're cheaper to replace when they're inevitably ripped off on a chicane!

G3 is like t-cut for grown ups, it should be great for your first cut after wet sanding. I have used G10 after G3 which is for final polishing

One of my next projects is to lightweight the doors, so i'll be cutting as much waste from the inside and ditching the winders and fitting polycarb windows with sliders.

The most important question is, which wing mirrors should i get? Keep it 90's and go for carbon DTMs or go for the smaller but more sticky-outy kit car type ones

It got to the point where there was no point in selling it so decided to re-develop it properly. It should run about 150-160bhp with the current engine being fairly standard just on throttle bodies and I have plans for a full spec 1600 build

Not quite, I have a straight cut synchro box which is super rare which i'm going to use, sequential will be on the cards at some point but not for a while yet.

I'm using one of the CAE shifters, it's really short throw, moves the linkage mostly inboard and has a lock out for reverse.

It's a '91 Polo Coupe. I used it to do some club autotests and rallies years ago and started building it into a full rally car a while back.

Will now run a 1.6 16v on throttle bodies, straight cut close ratio box with LSD, bilstein coilovers and full weld in cage

I've taken a week off to do some work on the rally project.

So far i have scraped off a load more sealer from the passenger inside wheel arch, stitched the chassis leg, gearbox mount, and strut top to match, repaired a hole in the bulkhead, blanked off the old fuse box hole and made a start repairing the mess that the old pedal box left.

I have the C2 but it only comes in 15mm setback. I managed to get away with this when i normally run inline posts.

there is basically no choice in 25.4 inline posts other than the thomson really.

I have I-links on mine. It was a faff and I ended up machining my own ferrules
