Genuinely no idea, the S2 Quattro is a 2.2L 5pot turbo from the factory of course but I had no idea which VAG parts bin they raided for it.

It’s not uncommon for 5pot turbo Audi’s to run over 1000hp, the retro power car is 1050bhp and I’m sure dialynx had various 1000+bhp ones

I find this with every 2nd hand car (and i'm sure it's worse for some people e.g @Dammit) but i always end up doing a mountain of jobs on them at first before you really start enjoying owning them.

I've tried all the other varieties, i find the traditional drills don't last and go blunt very quickly, and the other cutters tend to shatter the tips off the cutter, even if you put a centre punch down first. That's the first reliable one i've had

My secret to doing a sick fadez is to spray clear lacquer down first and fade the lightest colour onto that while it's still wet, You'll get a great gradient then. Definitely do a test card first though, so you know how much of a blend you want.

I've used this technique for a few years, worked well when we did a load of Le Creuset prototypes for a project, fading the orange into red.

Well, the convertible on these cars is always an after thought in design.

As much a Giugiaro designed the original Mk1, there are various different versions of it through it's life, i'm not sure they consulted on all its variations and the convertible was likely a modified design done in house
