I bought a stem from eBay, it’s arrived but is in much worse condition than the pictures showed, what’s the best thing to do?

It’s an Enve stem and the matte black paint is really quite chipped / damaged in a few places

You can as you can copper plate aluminium and then chrome the copper.

Whether you want to or not because of weight is another question
