I have to get rid of one bike to make space for my next project, so seeing if there will be interest in this:

Early 90's frame in very good condition with the occasional touch up to nicks in one or two places, that you can't even see.

I acquired the bike earlier this year and it had a mish-mash of Campagnolo parts on it.
I completely stripped the bike down and rebuilt it with full Record/Record Titanium components that I spent time sourcing that are either NOS or as close to new as I could find.

It is 8 speed with brand new Nitto bars, stem and seatpost. The wheels are Mavic CXP30.
Pictured, it has my Cambium saddle on, but will be sold with a Fizik (Antares, I think?) instead and flat pedals will be fitted instead of the Speedplay's.

I paid a grand for it and spent a shit load getting it to its current level. I know I won't get my money back, but I don't really know how to price this, so offers around £1500 are what I think would be fair?

I built this a couple of years ago and spared no expense, but it has hardly been used this year and due to space issues, my next project means that I have to do one in/one out, and the Surly is on the hit list, as much as that pains me.

I'll get some pictures up soon, but spec-wise we have:

Blue 56cm frame with silver Chris King headset, Waxoyl'd internally and Heli-taped externally from day one, so frame looks as new.
Hand built 26" Rigida Sputnik rims (from Spa Cycles) on 9 speed XT hubs with Marathon Plus tyres - brilliant and bombproof.

XT rear mech/105 front mech and a 12-34 cassette and new KMC chain.
The brake levers are Tektro v-brake levers and the shifters are Dura-Ace bar end shifters.
The crankset is a Spa Cycles triple with TA chainrings. The Shimano UN55 bottom bracket was replaced earlier this year and has done under 100 miles.

The saddle is a Brooks B17 and the handlebars and stem were changed when I did the bottom bracket, to Ritchey Classic wrapped in 3.2mm Likard Skins tape - still look like new obviously as they've also done under 100 miles.
The brakes are XT V-brakes with upgraded Swissstop Greenstuff pads.

The seatpost is also a Ritchey Classic, but there is not a lot of post showing, so I rubbed off the logo and it is now just plain, highly polished, which I think looks better.

It will come with a Tubus rack fitted, but I can't remember what model that is off the top of my head.
It has a lovely pair of Gilles Berthoud stainless mudguards fitted.

The only negative thing and I do mean the ONLY negative thing, is that when applying the Heli-tape, the "Long Haul Trucker" logo on the top tube came off on one side, so I removed the logo's on both sides to keep things looking equal.
There was also a logo on the chainstay that said "Fatties Fit Fine" which I removed on purpose, because it looked tacky.

I am after £1000. The bike is in as new condition and is awesome! It is located in Royston, Hertfordshire.

Full European maps. Excellent condition. Comes with USB charger and a quarter turn mount.

They are available, but I have someone coming to my house on Saturday to try them on. If he doesn't take them, I'll let you know.

That's a lovely bike, but it would be a compromise on what I think I want...a Sprint 26x, or similar.

If I was going to spend £2700, I'd rather just chuck in the extra couple of hundred and get exactly what I want.

I rather fancy getting a recumbent trike, but I'm not sure I can bring myself to spend 3k on an Ice Trike.

I don't suppose anyone has something they'd like to sell? Or other options for getting into recumbent trikes?

It seems it is the end of the road for my 8 speed Record Titanium mech, as there is a substantial amount of play from the bolt & spring that connects the body & the cages, causing my mech to rub against my spokes when I climb in my lowest gear. I've disassembled, cleaned, re-greased & re-assembled & there is still substantial play.

I can source 8 speed mech's from eBay, but I don't know if they are going to be close to the same point that mine is now in.
If I were to get a modern 10 speed Record carbon mech, will this work with my 8 speed Ergo shifters & cassette?

Any interest in the last few bits? I'm going away for a week from Wednesday and I can get them n the mail tomorrow if they sell today.

This came with a Colnago project I got recently, it looks completely unused from the looks of the seat area, but it has been fitted at least, judging from slight marking of the rails.

I've got a couple of sets of bars available. I've a set of Deda Speciale & Deda Piega bars.
The Speciale have been used once, but are unmarked & the Piegas are unused, but marked on one side from trying to persuade a too small stem on.

I think they are both 44cm.

I've a pair of Colnago Precisa threaded forks. The steerer is about 195mm, with about an inch or so of threading. Any use?
