they are so bastardly expensive I am going to look at some interim options. I've got cheapo track pedals with straps but haven't ridden it yet anyway.
What is the correct look pedals (High end 1988-90)? for it? Da pedals eventually, DA post same story, silly money for a nice one and the Nitto one I have is nice enough. Might be close.

So I bought a mini bob frame from @f1s to build up
Put most of the new headset in, offered up the bars, thanks @duckland, with some grips.
Now she's going to want two brakes but where am I going to put them? Are there any nice silver cross brake type things that would look nice? I'm sort of hoping that some combination of lever and position on the bend is going to put it magically in the right position.
Can I just cut the flanges off the grips with a razor yeah?
Bike is drilled for rear brake, what's the most reasonable way of getting it there with no braze ons? Two band on clips top of top tube?
Thanks fams

So far black is winning, but probably not the concor because it hurts my special area. Think I'm gonna go on recommendation and get the 1990 flite, thanks @anidel

yeah bring out all the rossins. I got a "cool bike bro" and a nod from a guy on a blue rossin when they were both dodgy singlespeed conversions, mine possibly with bullhorns. how often does that happen between the dodgy peugeot conversion crowd? hopefully never.
Anyway the pedals are baffling me. Velobase has these which look pretty reasonable:

But then ebay has these:
why does it look like it takes a cleat and also has toe straps? do you reckon you can unscrew those three screws and use them with flat shoes?
Put the drivetrain together on the bike today and then cut the the gear housing too short so I've to go and get some more tomorrow but it's then ready for a test ride!

thanks dude, I was thinking I'd probably find a black one if it ended up agreeing with my tail.
Once I've got some cogs and sorted the drive train, I'll have a little potter about to get the bars and levers in the right place, tape them up and then be able to decide whether I want a red saddle or not.

I see, I see, these are the same bawdy interjections Mayor Boris makes to distract from the real issue. You support as well I suppose his policies of keeping knowledge for the privileged few?
