Tidy little rig that! I'm afraid i'm hopelessly ut of touch with the various flavours of Squire and what they go for these days. They seem to start from around £100 for a s/h affinity (which i think is the bottom of the range) and go well into what i'd consider Fender money. Maybe have a looky on here. https://reverb.com/marketplace?query=squier%20tele&condition=used

Thanks for the tips. Some intergoogling seems to suggest that this is exactly what I want. https://reverb.com/item/60336970-mad-professor-dual-blue-delay?bk=

heh! so was I!
I'm debating getting a better delay/echo pedal. I don't often use delay as an effect, but I do like a bit of slap-back on hand for 50s stuff and a more psychy space-echo style thing from time to time. Anyone tried the Space Echo pedals? Or can anyone recommend something?
My ideal pedal would be a 2 in 1 delay so I could set one side to a nice slap and the other to a dubby psych high-repeat thing. Doesn't seem to be a lot out there that does that tho.

I watched one the other day about a stand off between two rival giraffes which had a spaghetti western theme to it. Nice idea Ibut the execution was kinda pastiche and felt like it was done with whatever sounds they had to hand.. I found it really cringey. I get that I'm probably in very tiny minority here but it bugged the shit out of me.

Heh, yeah I figured as much. I don't hate it really... I just always thought it was such a missed opportunity. Given how ground-breaking the cinematography is, how rote and generic the soundtracks are. I'm sure they're done by very clever people, but they're just so unhip. Such sampled strings. Very choral vocals. Many gong swoosh.

I wasn't sure where to put this (I Hate? Drug of the Nation?) but man, I hate the soundtracks of Attenborough BBC nature docs. The TV itself is mind-blowing. but the music is so obviously the product of the same cabal of smug shirt-under-a-jumper wearing un-hipsters who have put their bloated epic choral sample wares over every series for the last twenty years. It's even worse they try to do something ethnic or funny (NB often the same in the minds of the producers I note). Cunts.

Yeah, it’s taking me a while to get my head round but basically: right button is on/off and right is one to flick between short and long, or hold to have both in parallel. Another single click brings it back to just one . There’s some more witchcraft involving tap tempo and multi-head shenanigans that I haven’t quite got working consistently yet… it’s all too clever for me.
