I've got a few hardware effects. I didn't buy them because I think they sound better, I just want to spend less time looking at a computer screen. Schippman filter, ensoniq dp4 and a chameleon labs compressor. The filter was pricey but the compressor and dp4 were cheap. Probably for a reason but oh well

This is the way. The 'squeeze the lever and tighten back up' works OK if your pistons are equally loose, but one slightly stickier piston will throw it off and you'll be in rub city.
