Was I. I had two litres attached to the handlebars which I removed just before because they enjoyed jumping out of my bike over relatively small bumps. In the end it was just 2.7 litres but I pretty much always carried an extra 2/3 bottles of coke or Fanta in my jersey or feed bags.

If I did it again I wouldn't faff about with all of that and I'd just join the camelback crew.

I really wanted to do it this year but money/time meant I couldn't. I went out to the first checkpoint to catch some of the action, help out and cycle somewhere new.

Hopefully, I'll get a place for next year

This is crazy of Jonas.

He got to CP1 second or third. He was told of the horrible news and for 3 hours he spoke on the phone. He didn't speak English too well so my French friend who'd I'd cycled over with translated everything. Eventually he went to sleep in the hotel after several other riders had arrived in. My friend and I departed for a decent sleep. We came back at about 8am after a leisurely wake up and Jonas was still there, chatting with Melissa Pritchard.

1 week on and I'm super impressed that he is where he is.

Predicting tonight will be Skinny's last sleep.

Something like that I'm guessing... however lots of banned roads in that area.

Bjorn will still beat him to CP3 but not by long - predicting they'll pass each other on the control

Skinny has 116km to go and 1805 metres climbing.
Bjorn has 109km to go and 1205 metres climbing.

If Bjorn couldn't use the 66 is Skinny not going to find it the same?

I think Björn has a fairly flat day today too going down the Mur Valley.

Presumably, both will converge somewhere near Bratislava.

Plus he's done all the climbing for a while. It's a long decent into Ljubljana followed by a decent stretch along the Danube and then into the flats of Hungary.

This is Skinny's 2015 route. He could be aiming to follow this.

I think Skinny is going through Slovenia as it covers a lot of his TCRno3 route where he went along the Danube to checkpoint 3.

I'd take away at least 25% from those times for actual sleep

I hadn't checked yet but I heard that on the first night (as in the night he got to CP1) he only slept for an hour.

Kristof was consistently 4 hours every night starting at 1-3amish

Track is what is taken from track leaders. Route is the estimated real distance as it guesses which roads you went on. For example track leaders tends to underestimate quick descents with lots of bends as the tracker doesn't update quick enough

I'm not too sure about his route. The Brenner pass is relative steady climb topping out 1300 metres followed by a super long descent all the way to the Po Valley.

Predicting they're all going to take the Brenner pass from Innsbruck. It's probably the 'flattest' route across the alps
