Yeah they're just another version of filter coffee and more similar to a v60 than a clever dripper is but they do produce different coffee. If you want something a bit different to play with maybe grab a cheap mokapot and try out some different recipes.

I've been using paper filters in it but I get annoyed when I run out so a cloth one is on the buy list. Apparently they give a better mouth feel too, Hoffman is a fan.

I always end up back on the v60. I like the theory of the clever dripper but I can never get one to make as good tasting coffee as even a rushed v60. Aeropress is too much faff

That's why you should crack them on a flat surface not on the rim of a bowl or the like.

Not seen the Nitro deck before but I use Hori controllers on mine. There's no battery so can't be used wirelessly but are much comfier for non-child sized hands.

Pickles mostly seems to enjoy the rain and gets some crazy energy when she's wet but if it's just going to the garden for a wee I can see the reluctance. I've been building models for as long as I can remember and love the smell of plastic cement. Thought it might be because of 25 years of sniffing solvents but I recently bought some AK Interactive brand cement and it smells like death so I think it proves regular acetone based cement is just a great smell
