I've been making a few tweaks, I think it's about fettled - well when I get round to finding a plain black front rim. Hmmm I could also maybe fancy a chunkier fork, can you drill a Alpina Wing fork? :-P LOL
I tell you what though riding fixed on the road is a different kettle of fish. I start to feel a bit crampy at about 45mins. I do a lot of fixed riding but usually sprint efforts. On the road you get little rests on the corners, downhill, etc. Still I'm sure I'll get used to it eventually :)

I've been out riding mine a bit lately, still trying to get used to riding fixed on the roads. So far so good although going downhill can be somewhat alarming - I was doing 170rpm the other day!
Oh and (I suppose as a consequence on bouncing around going down hill) I'm finding it less comfortable saddle-wise :-P Here is my bike, the chainset is being replaced with a Miche Pistard Air and a black Zen so it should look better when I fit that I think :)

Because I'm an idiot and frequently order the wrong stuff/duplicate stuff, here are some things I'm getting rid of at the moment. Prices include postage but feel free to make me an offer, everything except the supersonic tyres is new.
Continental GP4000s 28mm tyre (single tyre for sale - I bought a pair before I realised my fork won't fit 28mm, oops!) £25
Shimano BR-5800 Brake Caliper (Black/Front - accidentally ordered two ages ago never got round to returning it) £25
Alpina headset for Dolan PreCursa (thought one wasn't included with the frameset - it is) £10
Alpina seatpost for Dolan PreCursa (came with the bike but I had one that I prefer to use) £15
Deda Zero 1 handlebars 38cm, 31.8mm (ordered wrong size) £20
Continental Supersonic Tyres 23mm USED
Ran these for a short while on the velodrome before I changed over to tubs, minimal wear. Pair of them for £40. -
It's a 19" MTB frame (Repainted 1994 Raleigh M-Trax) with a 130mm stem. The bike is a bit small for me, but it works ok :) I love that bike a lot but it's rusting like crazy and the tensioner annoys me both visually and occasionally breaks. I figured fixed would be fun, probably about 72" I'm going for. I live in North Yorkshire so need something that can get up the hills - I'll be avoiding Rosedale Chimney mind you!
I'm not really fussy or technically minded so I just bodge stuff so that it works :P

To save me reading this thread can anyone with a new style Pre Cursa tell me if Conti GP4000s 28mm tyres will fit the frame/fork? I'm eager to join the PC club and while I'm waiting for it to turn up I was wanting to order tyres, but not sure about clearance.
I appreciate that running 28mm tyres on a track frame makes me some kind of weird deviant but this bike is to replace my old rusting bike and I've gotten used to wider tyres.... LOL
