I’m having sort of a similar problem.
I’ve followed the instructions in the park tools video for adjusting rear derailleur step-by-step.
It all runs smoothly up until the top one, where it doesn’t seem to want to go in and jumps between the largest and second largest cog. If it then does eventually go in, when I try to shift back down, nothing happens until I shift down another click. Then after that pretty much all the cogs have excess noise and I feel like all the adjustment I just did has gone out the window.
I guess something is up with the indexing but I just tried the steps above re releasing the tension, shifting down and tightening back up again and the issue persists.
Any suggestions?
I should add it was all working fine before and I only took the chain off to clean it, and once I put it back on all this happened. Thinking maybe the insane amount of pulling with wire to release SRAM quick links has pulled it out of shape.

I bought one of those weed sprayer type things for screwfix for like 8 quid I think.
If you have a piece of flexible tubing small enough to tightly squeeze over the end of the pipe (once you remove the sprayer) then you can squeeze it over the removed valve, pump up the pressure, press the trigger and voila.

Me and my friend are thinking of heading from London to somewhere in Cornwall, maybe Penzance or maybe not the whole way.
We are probably going to pick up the south downs way at Eastbourne, follow it up to Winchester, head across to the new forest and spend some time there. Those are our only plans so far.
Any other recommendations for places beyond that on the way to Cornwall? Any good routes to pick up.

Surly cross check with drum brakes in Westminster. Love it.

I completely agree with all of this but I ride a cargo bike all day every day for work and increasing the limit would definitely make my job quicker and easier!
So I am not sure really what I want, possibly different limits for people who are using them for work and could be given proper training. But that's a bit of a can of worms to be honest and I am never really in favour of extra laws/bureaucracy when it comes to cycling.

I was looking into this before, there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of options in that size currently.
The gravelking SK comes in 700x50 but ye not sure if anywhere in the UK has it in stock. Soma cazadero is another but again probably difficult in this country.
Teravail do 700x47 if you're willing to sacrifice 3mm.
Sorry, don’t let me get in the way of someone else taking it.
I would like it but obviously I won’t be back for a few days and it’s free so whoever can go and get it first should take it.
I just meant that if it was still going when I got back I’d take it.
