Make sure you buy a 26mm socket and grind it flat if you're tackling damper removal/swap out. For a general service you don't need to remove it though.
Edit: I did a service on mine, bath oil is super easy. I also did a full clean, float oil change (using gear oil).
For 100 quid I'd expect a full strip and clean with new seals everywhere. Except for damper service, the newer 32s generally don't need much interaction on the damper side apart from a pull out and clean. If you've ruptured seals and diaphragms in the damper unit then your repair gets costly.

So after doing some reading on the new Terminator 8000 groupset Shimano have made some interesting choices:
- 10 speed cassette
- No clutch
- QR + centrelock dynamo...with no TA option
- Updated crank arm with old triple spider
- Longer brake lever
- No drop bar options...means people have to stick with MicroShift
Looks like it's more suited to flat bar road/gravel bikes rather than full blown bikepacking/expedition bikes.
This would be a crazy groupset to spec for something like riding from London to China via Indonesia or something. This is built for bulletproof parts interchangeability.

Also, in addition to Scoble's advice - take your old ultegra spacers and lockring (provided it's the same small cog) and use them in the 105 cassette.
All of a sudden you have a 105 cassette that is very close to ultegra weight.
The other difference is the finish, 105 looks shiny and ultegs has a shot finish.

Almost...I'm actually spitballing the idea of fitting a SiSL crankset to a MTB with a shimano pressfit, hence the 92mm.
The crankset I'm eyeing off comes with both a 104mm and a 109mm spindle. @Howard - would a longer spindle work? Say jumping to a 122mm or a 137mm F-Si spindle?
The other side of the argument is the concern of bearing wear - squeezing tiny bearings into a PF shell using a 30mm shell would mean I'd need to double up the bearings on each side if I go with a custom solution.
In all likelihood this sort of setup seems too much to faff with, but thanks in advance for humouring me guys.
Edit: oops, just read the next page of replies - @Dammit suggested what just wrote.

Has anyone received wine or packages circa 2-3kg from Australia? What carrier was used?
Need an economical way to send 2x bottles of wine from the land of convicts to London.
